Seems a reasonable deal to me. With The £60 Quidco cashback you'd effectively pay a fiver a month. I pay a tenner a month for Virgin's 300 + 300 plan. I use most of my text allowance each month but only about 3 minutes of calls.

Here's the website's blurb:-
"About this offer
Get loads more talk time. And loads more texts. All for a lot less than you'd usually pay on a 12 month price plan. It's a cracking deal - and the cost stays low for the full 12 months of your contract.

Just pop our SIM into your existing phone - and enjoy outstanding service from the word go. Our UK call centre helps with everything from tariffs to texting. There's free delivery when you buy online, and our 14-day returns policy guarantees you peace of mind. You can even keep your existing number."

Are your 300 minutes and texts on Virgin cross network?

Do you mean can I text/call any other mob on any network? Yes I think so. Texts certainly are. Don't use the calls allowance so not sure about that.

I got this deal last Xmas as we have XL telly, broadband and landline with them.

No problem, nice find as well by the way. :)

is the cashback guaranteed?
#8
I am having a real pain with my Carphone Warehouse cashback, so i would say no, its not guaranteed, lets see if Quidco can sort it out!
#9
seems a good deal for the cash back, if you top up a £10 anyway each month

is the cashback guaranteed?

NO.

There is a clan on quidco called "Vodafone cashback" which details how many of us were duped by this offer back in August. Still no Quidco received from them, but it has just been validated.

Good deal though. I got it for the cashback at the time, and let my daughter use it for TXTing as her 300txts/300mins from Virgin doesn't last her a month.
#11
Gonna get this for the missus - she is on that virgin tarif and the coverage is shocking - or rather we can't get a signal in out house, everywhere else is ok

but what call time is included in each of the plans please? is it the same as the 30 day plans and you are recieving a higher rate of quidco due to being tied in for 12 months ??????

£20 plan = SIM only - 600 mins, unlimited texts per month
£15 plan = SIM only - 200 mins, unlimited texts per month
£10 plan = SIM only - 100 mins, 500 texts per month

Effectively being the same as the 30 day plans. This is a quidco exclusive offer with the cashback, so being tied into the same 30day contract for 12 months you'll get the cashback. If it tracks and gets paid.. Various opinions on this from last year.

are the mins to any network or just Vodaphone

you can only get to these deals if you go via quidco, hence the reason me not being able to find them by just going straight to the Vodaphone site !!!!!!!

Any network

Thing is, this like the £10 monthly deal, I let my daughter use the sim and the bills came in at £30-£40 PCM, call charges are high, and the timing of the "month" is confusing. This together with a flaky website for checking minutes, and usage taking 2 days to update... I really don't do vodafone anymore. They can not even limit the credit on the account so you can't go over the £10.

Three however, with live usage data on the handset on the check my usage link, the ability to lock the account credit down so you don't get billed over the monthly set amount makes them a winner.
#24
im tempted but knowing my luck quidco wont track and il end up paying more than i do now as im on the genie with 02 where i top up £15 a month and get 500 free text and then 10% back (so £1.50) and i very rarely use any mins so by the end of the year ive got loads of money on my phone that ive got to use

No the £120 cashback is for the £20 a month deal, the OP here has listed the £10 a month deal, with £60 cashback, effectively making the contact £5 a month after cashback has been paid.

Better deal is the £120 Cashback for £15 PCM Unlimited Text and 200 Mins.

http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/329893/vodafone-sim-only-500-texts-and-100

Still makes it £5 but unlimed text and 200 mins.

the £120 cashback is for the £20 pcm not the £15 pcm :whistling::whistling:

Cheers for all the replies esp Rex and Student! Interesting thread. Sorry for absence, been busy with sick kids all morning. As far as I can deduce from all this, it is a good deal at £10 (if the split between text and call allowance suits your needs) but even better if you can get the £60 Quidco. However, Quidco seems to take forever to track, validate and pay, implying that Vodafone want to observe you using your contract for the best part of the 12 months before they'll actually cough up. As for when the end/start of the month is, I'd hazard a guess that it's the date your DD is set up for. I'm going to switch my OH's existing Vodafone contract across cos the tenner is cheaper than he's currently paying on PAYG and if we get the £60, next January it'll ease the post Xmas pain in the bank a/c.

Looks good - presently on Vodafone PAYG - anyone know if you can transfer your number over?

I did the £100 voda contract on the 22nd of December with quidco.
Never tracked...
Currently in Processing after a enquiry.

still waiting for my quidco payment from vodafone, this was august got the sim, payment should've been dec 2008:x
#35
Really good deal.

If you take out the £10 per month one it works out at £5 per month for 500 texts and 100 mins (after Quidco).

There are also deals on £15 per month (£90 Quidco) and £20 per months (£120 Quidco) - making them half price as well.

Too hot?! Too spicy?...........HOT HOT
#36
I'd be tempted to wait and see if Topcashback match the offer.Paid out within 2 months on the last (£120) cashback offer. They seem to attract less attention than Quidco from people that abuse the offer.
My other Voda sim through through Quidco has only just validated from August with a payment date of January  - like that's going to happen.
Last i heard, they were wanting to make people wait eight months before paying out.The original deal was to stay on contract for three.
#37
Excellent deal.
Used Vodafone through quidco before and no tracking problems as others have had.
#38
Just signed up for a 6 month contract with 3. 500 anytime minutes/texts a month, free nokia 3210 classic, £20 accessories voucher and £32.50 quidco @ £18 a month seems a better deal than this.

6 x £18 = £108 - nokia3210 @£80 = £28 - 32.50 = -£4.50 so free minutes plus a £20 accesories voucher.
banned#39
6 Months contract with 3 sounds good least you have opportunity to trial the reception quality rather then commiting to 12/24 mths

Really do NOT bank on this cashback... for further proof/info see HERE
