Was coming up to end of mobile contract and was searching for sim only deals and found this on mobiles.co.uk. It is £15.30 pm but after claiming cashback it actually turns out £7 pm which is staggeringly cheap. I have had experience with this website and you do get your cashback provided you submit your bills on time on their website. Haven't factored in possible £10 cashback via tcb which is added bonus.

I've been looking at the £15.30 tarriff on the Vodafone website after buying a locked phone I haven't been able to unlock

Didn't know about this potential cashback deal so its worth a punt to get it from there - thanks very much!

Poor data plan. It's as if networks are pushing over heavy minutes and texts to disguise their poor data allocations.

tough crowd. maybe stick "4G" in the title

actually HUKDers are used to SIM deals like this for £2 a month (but from an obscure company that goes bust a month later)

I've used mobiles.co.uk before to get a free HP Touchpad. If I decide to be lazy and pick a £50 gift card or free tablet then thats more than I would have got had I gone through Vodafone so thank you very much

Yes but it is 4G (use up your allocation even faster :) ) but there are 6Gb and 10Gb options for still alot less that the Vodafone website

If you need more data get a different plan.

i dont have a 4g phone, probably coz i am from stone age... but 1gb data is phenomenal for 3g.... never really had a need for 4g and pay exorbitant prices

You won't use up your data faster you will just have a faster connection. For example if you watch 100 YouTube videos per month say that would be 500mb. You would still only use 500mb on 4g it would just load faster.

OP - Does this also come with 3 months unlimited data test drive? Afaik all new Vodafone contracts come with the data test drive.

EE - £12.99 for the same deal combine this with the fact that Vodafone have horrendous customer services and their customer services are not UK based it's cold from me !

I lost a lot of cashback when Dialaphone went pop.

Tbh it's not something I'd be comfortable risking again, especially over a 2 year period.

That said, these guys are owned by Dixons Carphone so you *should* be alright.

But then I thought that about Dialaphone and Phones4U...

Wrong. You don't use data up faster. You just get a faster connection. To say, stream a song, would take the same data on 3g or 4g.

jeez, it was a joke - hence the smiley face. [though if you are downloading rather than streaming ... no, I'll not go there]

okay posting back your bill every month would be a nightmare but the free gift (tablet, kindle, ...) is more than you'd get from the same tarriffs on the Vodafone site

If you are browsing for the same amount if time on 4g you'll load more web pages and consequently use more data. Its fallacious to assume data usage will be the same. A gig is a gig. so what? it doesn't tell us much about how we use our phones or how our habits will change once our data connection bandwidth allows us to do so much more without tedium and frustration.

If they had a 2gb I would get it as 1gb might not be enough for my usage.
I would say hot at £7
