Have a EE cashback deal with mobiles.co.uk. Cashback process is very quick and simple can be done online in minutes and big period of time (several weeks) for you to do it after receiving the relevant bill.

So every time you have to post your bill to them to claim cash back?
Sounds like a lot of hassle

Have a similar deal. Takes a couple of minutes to download a bill and then upload it to mobiles.co.uk. It's very easy and simple.

Me and wife had a contract with Vodafone once through carphone warehouse. I sent the bills in a week early and claim was rejected. Then I cancelled the contracts with them after the first 12 months so they cancelled mine and left my wife's running. Still got a bad credit rating to this day because of them. Called, e-mailed and wrote but no luck. Cashback deals no more

Yep, it's a risk. So weigh up risk versus rewards and see if the deals for you. I have been doing redemption deals for over 15 years and not had a problem and my phones and calls have worked out free. Others have been caught out but that's just luck. This one's £6/month more than I want to pay at the moment but will probably be going for a redemption deal again (or cashback deal).

can anyone comment on if Vodafone themselves would price match it?

do you have to be in the UK for over three years?

I would not advice my worst enemy to join Voda
one of the worst company ever dealt with

Only dealt with vodafone once before, but it was enough to make me avoid them till the end of my life. Also watched my daughter and her friend tearing their hair out a few months ago dealing with them too.

The amount of phone calls to sort overcharging etc and all the broken promises is beyond belief

I got a similar deal last year but only with 2gb data. Not had any problem with claim on cashback from mobiles.co.uk, have to cancel the contract when it comes to an end by giving notice today but the last cashback claim is not until 12 september so i hope this does not mess up the final claim.

Tcb claim only paid £10 when they offered a special rate at the time but still with customer care to resolve a year later, so i doubt i will see the higher tcb payout promised.

Not had any problem with vodafone as i was worried from all the negative reviews about vodafone. I just hope i don't experience that when i give notice to cancel. I called their customer service only once and had to wait for about 20 minutes to be answered but that was about all.

No not necessary i guess

Further to previous comment on cashback. Vodafone CS are are rubbish. Had a problem and got them to ring CS instore, as heard stories about how bad they were, took 35 minutes to get through and this was from a vodaphone shop!

Did you check the T&C's before cancelling?

Whilst the refusal to pay out the cashback was CPW, the bad credit is nothing to do with them. The credit is provided by the mobile network (not the retailer who sold it to you).

I do this every year or two (depending on my contract at the time), with either mobiles.co.uk or e2save. I have never ever been able to convince a mobile network retention team to price match any retailer offering cashback (ie. the price after cashback) as the cashback is usually coming out of the retailers profit.

Good luck if you do, and do let us know if you're lucky.

Am interested in some of those vodafone sim only deals with cashback. I am currently with three so can transfer my number. So after 12 months do I need to move away from vodafone in order to get another good cashback deal and keep my phone number? Need to work out the hassle versus savings ratio if I am gonna become a sim only cashbacker :-)

Yes, or you can transfer to a non Vodafone pay as you go, then transfer back to Vodafone.

Cheers, so maybe just something to do every now and again when you can be bothered or there is a particularly good deal! I know cashback is less, but does Quidco cashback need you to send/upload bills? In other words is Quidco sim only cashback less hassle, but less cashback?
