Nice price drop

I still would rather have the Smart Ultra 6 with the Snapdragon processor than the Smart Ultra 7 with the less desirable MediaTek processor.

Android 6.0.1 (Marshmellow) just got released for the SU6 yesterday, completely transformed my phone. Much, much quicker and responsive now so I agree with Sprograt, go for the SU6, cheaper too.

Seems like a very nice price for such a spec, have Vodafone put lot's of horrid software/apps on there?

Thanks

Just doing the Marshmallow update on my SU6 now. Hope it goes okay. I bought my SU6 back in September 2015 for £99 and it's always been a cracking little phone. I wouldn't object to owning an SU7 but it's really hard to justify spending money on an upgrade when the SU6 does more or less everything I ask of it. Voted hot regardless.

What exactly is the 'upgrade' on the 7? It's always confused me as it seems to be either the same or worse in every area.

Thanks for posting! Didn't realise it was out for this phone. Done it last night and it defiantly runs better now :)

Around Christmas EE were selling the Huawei P9 Lite for £140 which totally crèmes this phone. Not sure I can vote this hot or cold for this reason.

That's two and a half months ago. Is that available now? Retrospective deals aren't much help, just as the regular 'I got this off Gumtree for £8.50' isn't.

Agreed there. £25 was deffo worth the extra 1GB ram and fingerprint scanner though.

then at the £140 mark there's a lot more choice.

for an extra 21-22% extra 1gb ram and FP scanner is hardly 21% more ;)

I didn't know this either and I assumed it was never going to get an upgrade so thanks for highlighting it!

Just got the update for my Ultra 6 and it does continue to impress me.
The only thing that lets it down for me is the banners, but I'm comparing it to my LG G4 and the cost difference is not a fair comparison.

Perhaps the camera is better on the Ultra 7.

Still the Ultra 6 is a damn fast phone and got even more so since the latest update.

Glad I got the ultra 7 - cracking phone had a update 2 days ago and it's pretty fast battery life is very good too!
