Older model was £50 i think very good deal

I have the previous model (no performance difference from that based on what I've read) and a steal for £20. Worth it if you poor mobile performance in the house.

So does this only work with phones on the vodafone network?

Probably worth mentioning that it won't work with MVNO's on the Vodafone network (TalkMobile, Lebara etc)

Thank you, thank you, I've asked this every time these have come up and no one bothers to answer. Am on BT Business through work and it comes up on my iphone as Vodafone so had been tempted.

I think mobile networks should be giving these for free to any customers who ask for them.

Does your data usage still count against your monthly allowance? It shouldn't do if you're using broadband instead of the mobile network...

I think you are right, but it's for the phones that do not have wifi

Damn good price.. If the call charges werent so exorbitant, I'd buy this right now and move over from Tesco to Vodafone..

Thats my question, unless you know about this device, you dont know fully what it does, web page tell you jack? so 32 numbers can get free calls? as many as they like UK? Abroad? one hour cut off? who knows?

Yes it does, it's to do with content filtering they put on as standard to stop kids looking at porn, and as such all data via 3G goes through the Vodafone servers.

Not yet annoyingly enough. I believe there was a trial but they decided against it.

This item is just to boost the signal if your on vodafone and get a bad signal. it doesn't mean your then have unlimited VoIP calls. It is simply to give you more 3g signal which was a godsend when I had the unfortunate experience of being with voda where they haven't had a fully functioning mast for 2 years!

So basically, you are adding a cell-phone tower to YOUR house, which you plug into YOUR electricity and YOUR broadband.... AND "share" the goodness ?
Talk about urine extraction...

? pay £20 for vodafone to use your broadband, to improve there coverage.
Also still counts against your data allowance for using your own broadband.

i have one of these and they have consistent problems with virgin media customers. i have 50mb broadband and the damn thing doesnt work. all you and the other person hear is garbled mess, like an old dial-up tone.

i got mine for free from vodaphone 2 weeks after my phone contract started since im on a business contract. might give it another go and see if they have fixed it, but it was useless last time i used it.

"Are you paying for a second rate service from Vodafone?

Well, you can now pay us even more, use your own electricity, and why not give us some of your bandwidth too, all because we know you like to finance us!"

COLD!
#36
also these take at least 24hrs to register with the network. google these and the is a host of problems.
#37
these ( at least the older versions) are temperamental. I had a lot of outages for a start and the fault was always at VF's end. Usually crashed on a Friday evening and wasn't fixed for 48hrs. Having said that, it has been fine recently and is the answer where the walls are too think for a 2g signal to penetrate. £20 - worth a punt
#39
Will this work with asda sims as it piggybacks the vodafone network.

Maybe for some people, but these are great in very old houses with thick walls. Have to say that I've had no problems with it all.
