this is a 3g handset.

Is that why it says # 3G handset. in the item description?
#4
On the surface, it looks like a great price for a decent 3G handset, so voted hot!
#5
is it unlocked?
#6
It's only £29.36 from Vodafone's website and that includes a £5 top up. You can also get get £5 Quidco or £7 Topcashback.

is it unlocked?

If u have a contract or paying for PAYG I'm pretty sure they will unlock it for u even if it's not, so called about 6 months ago they deceide to supply phones unlocked.

Even if locked, it SHOULD work with Asda Mobile :-)

Quite a few positive reviews on Argos site here:

Excellent Pice for 3G Handset, very tempting.. Voted Hot!!!

Why expired already?
#11
I have this as a spare handset and it is excellent for browsing the internet quickly and also good to text with, probably more user friendly overall than my C905
#12
couldn't find the vf810 on the vodafone site but they have the 830 that seems very similar for £50
#13
Unexpired.
#14
not sure if this is just 3g or 3g hsdpa
Answer is that it is not hsdpa.

There are some trigger happy fools on here that expire things on a whim....

ordered one thanks, was looking for a good phone at a cheap price.

if i wanted to use an o2 sim card, can i use a code to unlock the phone, or would i have to take it into a phone shop?

280 hours standby seems poor. I'd rather have less features and bore battery life.
#20
Thanks. Just ordered one. For the price, it looks like it packs in quite a bit.

great stuff, I just got a w880i (think that's what it is) on vodaphone. Thought I was going to have to get it unlocked to get it changed to ASDA - Vodaphone 20p per minute and 10p per text, verus 8p and 4p with ASDA. Anyway I just got my other phone which has an ASDA PAYG sim in it and put the SIM in the W880i and what do you know!?! It worked right off the bat.

So cheers you just saved me a tenner. So it seems that Vodaphone PAYG will work with ASDA sims, which are currently the best value on the market - I'm more than happy to be corrected if someone can point me to a better deal.
#22
Put an ASDA sim in and buy a micro SD card and you've got yourself a cracking little phone here.

I have got a contract t-mobile sim will this work in this phone, please go easy i'm not very good when it comes to phones!!!!
#25
Vodafone usually comes locked to their network, only other one will work on this is an asda sim as they use voda's network. So you u need unlock to use other network sim.

# I got 2 samsung L810v - voda branded unlocked by phoning voda CS and ask for the unlock code.
They ask what mobile number my voda is, I said I don't know it by heart as it's a second phone i use.
This would be the contract CS dept. I got through to payg dept once and the CS agent wanted to know
my voda number to confirm I had the phone for over a year (free unlock after this period) . I couldn't
supply the number as I just got the payg phones so I hang up and phone again, got to normal contract
CS and gave me the code.
#26
are unlock codes specific for each handset,.. or is the same unlock code used for every VF810 phone?
#27
What a bargain, bit annoyed that I missed this.

Why are you annoyed. It's still available to buy at that price. I got mine delivered the other day. It really is fantastic.

Completely agree. Great phone, unbelievable for the price. If there's any left snap one up. Ring-tones are hilarious though.
