Seen this today in Netto at £5.99 for a 70cl bottle, I know it's not a well known brand but it still does the biz. Think it's only available this weekend only at the discounted price.

Skittles vodka is delicious!

My Recipe

1. Empty some vodka from the bottle to create some space.

2. Pour in a couple of packets of Skittles, but do not use the green ones! Eat them. They turn the vodka a murky colour. You could also buy several packets and just use one colour, or buy several smaller bottles of vodka and make one of each colour!

3. Leave the Skittles to dissolve for a couple of days. Shake every so often.

When the Skittles have completely dissolved, you'll be left with a rather nasty looking layer of hydrogenated fat on the top.

4. Use a funnel and a filter to drain the Skittles vodka a couple of times. Kitchen towel can work well for this, because you'll go through quite a few filters.

5. Drink responsibly :-D

Enjoy!

When youy did this did you get a clear red vodka which tastes like SKittles as you drink, and then you get the long burn?

I ask cause thats what mine was like but a local bar does SKittles vodka shots which are really cloudy, they taste like skittles through and through and you dont get a burn. weird.

I end up with a red vodka, but not cloudy. It's still ~40% spirit, so that could explain the burn. ;-)

I know some pre-made flavoured vodka shots are more like ~14%, my local club sell some of these. Could this explain it?

Possibly but i think the bar makes all of their own, although they do have signs up saying because they make their own the vodka is sold as a cocktail.

Thanks! Neither are near me. I've seen Nisa lorries delivering to Costcutter supermarket though.

I'll have to see if I can get a cash and carry card for my local Booker. I wonder how easy it is?

It's a doddle, all you need is a knocked up invoice which takes 5mins on the computer. I work coach tennis on a self employed basis, and my local bookers excepted that as proof for the business account - same with viking direct.

Costcutter have the same deals as us just different times, they may have it in there.

vodkat is not a full strength vodka. its only about 20% proof compared to approx 37.5% for typical cheap vodka. ie 1/2 strength. netto vodka is just a weekend offer at that price. each weekend they reduce approx 12 lines some are as little as 1/2 price compared with the normal price.most lines are own label.

vodkat is 22% alcohol

and the 4.99 bottle is only 20cl im sure?

22% sounds about right but its still a 70cl bottle. same size as a normal vodka bottle but 1/2 strength

I work in Iceland. It is 5 pounds for the 70cl, and 7 Pounds for the 1L.
