Bit cheaper here: https://www.centralukvehicleleasing.co.uk/vehicle/choose_your_lease/65534/volkswagen/scirocco/20_tsi_bluemotion_tech_r_3dr.html

£2400 initial payment followed by 23 months £149.99 = 5849.77

Mileage is a bit low for me though

Looking for a good deal on the DSG version but they seem to be a fair whack more, anyone spot one?

If you go up to 10k with them it's £655pm so cheaper getting 2 cars

JCB via What Car are doing 9+23 at £220.80 (ie £6403.20) total and 8,000 miles (excess 8.38per mile). The DSG model (which I would recommend - I have DSG on my Roc) is £13.80 a month more.

It's a £33k car, but if you go via a broker you could buy it for £27k, should get £20k p/x in 2 years time (you might even get £22k selling privately) if they retail used for £24k. If you don't need finance but do want 10k miles pa or a bit more.

The Scirocco is long overdue a new version on the MQB platform, handling is noticeably less good than the new MK3 TT or MK7 Golf. I've had 2 in the past and they were great in 2009 and 2011, but need an update now.

If you were to pay 33100 for this then that's list price. A quick check witn drivethedeal shows they can be had closer to 27k so if you take a 2 year price at24k then it would lose 3k. Quite a bit less than the 5.8k.

So it might be cheaper to buy it new and sell it in 2 years. Remind us what the finance costs on a loan of £28K? If you can get a loan that is. Surely cheaper to buy a £150 car and save even more.

The reason personal leasing is rising is because folk can't/don't want to get a £28k loan.

Residuals won't hold once the new car is out.
