Prefer a 240. Will appreciate in value. Indestructible, milled out of a solid block of steel. Able to get to the next petrol station, from any petrol station in Britain without running out of fuel. Comfy. Luxurious. Fast. Solid. Reassuring. Big.

CARPETS/RUGS??? even my nan ain't got a rug in her car. she even has cushions, blanket and cuddly toys in there. wtf is this on about?

proper car though, nice spec for the money, I would consider this one myself, some cars posted on here are little more than toys.

I'd go for the Sportwagon for 2 grand more

S60 is an excellent car. Sold my D5 a year ago with 256,000 on the clock, was still running well.

Seems a fantastic deal, nice spot.

Can't argue with the price, lot of car for the money. Performance not bad either.

Good to see 17" wheels. Had a v40 with Pirelli P zero 18" that would cost me c£500 every c11K.

Nice car, the option list is a not oricy though. Heat.

Bit of an old duffer's nondescript saloon. Best if you're getting on a bit cos it's built for driving comfort. Plus good if you are a bad driver and tend to crash a lot. Very safe. It's nice enough inside though and much cheaper than a 3 series I suppose.

Worth noting the pic is the r-design version. Loved my pre facelift version. Up to 47mpg on T3

Roughly £150 cheaper on Drive the Deal by the looks of it even at cash price. Taking the 0% finance knocks of another £500.

I was scrolling down the list of features via my phone and by the time I'd reached the end I'd forgotten what product I was looking at.

T means petrol.
D means diesel.

In this case its a T4 engine. Nice cars, lots of happy, mostly private owners by the statistics.

Geartronic torque converter is about £1200 on top, I suspect you can probably find somewhere you can get it for 50% of that!

Well, I saw BRAKES, on a line by itself, and I thought: that's useful, you'll be able to stop. :)

Appreciate in value? Don't be so stupid. It might be slow to depreciate but you will never make money on it.

Comes in Savile Grey ... hmm.... think Volvo might need to rethink the naming of that colour!

Thought that until I test drove one (D5 version), bought it on the spot and its best car I have ever had.

Cold, all volvo owners have at least two huge dogs. It would be cruel to put them in the boot.

My guess is you'll see 40mpg with a light foot out of town. Which still isn't bad for 190ps.

These cars are about as exciting as a turnip.

I do have a soft spot for these, especially the older round headlight models. But I'm pretty sure that they aren't fast or economical or even safe by modern standards!

Did you not hear the man? it's milled from a solid bit of steel, safe as houses.

Reminds me of a mate who's old 5 series had an accident with a C1.

His understanding of safe was somewhat redefined :P

This kind of discount will stave off about 3months of depreciation on a big Volvo. Seriously, great cars and this is very cheap.

If you buy a Volvo S60 for the thrills then you've not done your research. I have an S class. It is dull as anything on the road but it is fast, quiet, comfortable, even the seats massage my ****. Sometimes this is what you want. I had an old C32 AMG before that and I don't really miss it.

Just for a moment I feel sorry for people who bought this at full price, just a wee moment tho, then I lol'd
