My first post so hope everything is in order. Came across this when browsing my local Currys earlier (Poole). This was the last one on the shelf. A bargain if your local store has one.

This used to be priced at £19.99.

Sort of, its a usb memorystick with a built in audio device. The software on it is for use with the Vonage VOIP service.

Some people may have better use with a VOIP and SIP software but for someone wanting to use Vonage its idea.

Same price at PC World - it's a USB sound-card but it has a 2.5mm connector on it (which I find great for my plantronics gamecom x10!)

I've been using it with Skype which works great.

Had one of these a couple years ago, and can vouch for how great it is!

Basically it's a IP phone on a stick, thats registered and administered through the web, and authenticated by its own MAC address! You get your own local phone number, so people can call you whereever you are around the world at a local rate, and you can call so many countries for free.

Not many people realise, but it also has a c-media soundcard embedded on the stick, so those at work that need some kind of sound/microphone access can use this stick. It's worked for me lol

It would help people searching, if you put the shop in the title ( and got your spelling right  )

I'm not certain on this, but I do believe when they put items out with 97 pence on the end, then they really are a clearance and they only have a few nationwide.
Might be very hard trying to track one of these down if you want one.

Welcome to HUKD by the way.

Its 7 pence or a Z near the barcode :-D

Got a few of these ages ago, you can get some software to format the vonage software off it completely so you just have a 256MB mem stick with soundcard in it

Tottenham cour road pcw is the worst pc world ever. No staff and no knowledge of product. Plus they don't have clearance stock as they are high street store.
