This condones knife crime

Really?

How does placing knives in a comic plastic (or whatever its made of) figure for storage condone knife crime?

My kids (and I) have great big water pistols which we take great pleasure in shooting each other with, am I condoning gun crime to them.... my oh my bad parent alert call social services get me locked up for my own protection as they may get real guns and shoot me when they grow up into real hoodies with their own asbos and that innit?

By making things illicit it makes them more appealing.

agreed...however, Im tempted to buy for my mother in law

Ive got a spare set of knives you can have cheap, if you have a mother in law you dont need a seperate knife block as they are more than adequate.

If someones a nutter to start with they are liable to do this anyway, with or without.

Mind you where would they get knives from that would keep the scale accurate? If you know let me know coz I like playing with very big very sharp knives :whistling:

Typical Amazon, Oh you save £100, when in fact they sell it for its normal on going price. Or maybe you save £5 or so at best. I hate it when they do that.

BTW I picked a set like this from ebay, for £45 - not long ago. I also saw a set in a shop whilst in Brighton 5 weeks ago, seeling for £60.

Think back, your objection is to the knife holder not the knives which correct me if i'm mistaken is NOT a real person. So a "fantasy" gun and a "fantasy" knife holder are indeed a fair comparison.

Knife crime is a serious issue though, but these objects are unlikely to lead to knife crime.

Voodoo knives stuck thru a effigy of a body....................do they come with a gag and a packet of cable ties? for the more discerning buyer

Back to the real deal, what are these knives 'realy' like, full tang or seal moulded?:?
#13
This nanny state, ban everything attitude makes me want to puke.

I was looking at these in a shop and debating buying them but having 3 kids (2,5, and 7) i prefer to keep my knives in a locked drawer, the knives had a good weight to them and where nicely balanced too, from what I remember they was made from one hunk of steel rather than a moulded handle, seemed like good quality, at the price (around £99 i think they was) you was paying as much for the stand as the knives, at this price the knives are worth nearly the full amount alone. The stand was heavily weighted in the base and very stable unlike most "conventional" blocks too.

I agree entirely, it's always someone else's fault, surely you've all realised that by now.

I mug someone, it's my teachers fault, I become a smack head, it's my parents fault, I rob a bank, it's society's fault, I stab my family to death, it's my knife holders fault ....... obvious really innit, so long as nothing is ever MY fault then the world will be fine !

Do any of you do-gooder arseh*les have any idea of the concept of individual responsibility ?

This isn't a good price, anyone paying £150 for this is a mug as Firebox used to be exclusive stockists in the UK and they've never charged more than £60 http://www.firebox.com/product/1109/Voodoo-Knife-Block

Thanks Harlzter, i am always interested in good kitchen knives, the stand i would not use as i have a magnet strip to keep them on, well out of childrens, (and fiancees), reach.

To all those idiots who think this encourages knife crime - can I suggest you invest in one of these?

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Suck-UK-Bathroom-light-pull/dp/B000VALNLY/ref=pd_sim_kh_2

If someone's going to commit murder, they don't do it because they see a picture of a body with a knife in it. They do it because they enjoy it. Knives don't kill people - people kill people. It's way harder to buy an edged weapon now than it was 40 or 50 years ago; but knife crime is about 10,000% more common. That has more to do with society than designer knife sets like this one.

I suppose we ought to be grateful he didn't decide to find somewhere inventive to include a corkscrew.

PMT and knives are a bad combo! and they are all worried about it encouraging nutters! women with PMT dont need any motivation.

This condones pen crime! Bic should be banned!

Plus a nutcase is more likely to get an idea in their head after seeing the news or a movie rather than a novelty knife block!
#25
This knife block is defamitory to the true beliefs of voodoo, which is really about doing good things for other people. It would be better to call it a Catholic Torture in God's Name Knife Set for True Believers.
#26
How did those knives go through the effigy with the covers still on the blades, that's just silly - VOTED COLD!
