no voucher as yet 3 months tomorrow since connection to EE. Voucher due to arrive by then!
Anyone managed to get the voucher?
After waiting nearly two weeks with no broadband, spending 1-2 hours each night on the phone to customer services, to be repeatedly told that the issue would be resolved tomorrow morning, that I would get a phone all or that someone in their support team had closed fault without checking it had been resolved (it wasn't) I've told them to stuff it and gone with Sky. If you value your broadband connection don't use!!
Yeah , Expired :(

When I joined them a few years ago there was a slight dealay in getting my broadband to work....................... 8 WEEKS WITH NO BROADBAND!!!
Be afraid be very afraid.
Has anyone got this offer as an existing customer
Been with EE for a few years and now I'm off. Their outsourcing and offshore service is disgraceful. Homemove service is pitiful and failed to carry out/complete correctly on two occasions, despite assurances. Complaints still have not responded after 7 months. Many many calls, blind transfers, Managers who fail to contact you when agreed, and a service that does not connect properly, or maintain speed. The only things that works is the billing team - you get your bill on time OK!
Cold Traffic Management
If you live in London for £180 you can get Relish plus not extra costs like delivery and landlines. Some bad reviews around but works for me. I'm getting between 15 - 18 Mbps regularly.

EE are not properly unlimited - they throttle certain traffic and if you actually use a decent amount of bandwidth they start slowing the connection - avoid and go with BT Infinity instead.

I ordered with EE, had serious problems them sorting out my order, then got them to cancel my order. It wasn't over, they then went on and took money from my bank account.

I went for BT infinity as well, waiting for them to set everything up.

Have you had the begging calls from them yet?

We had several a day for a few days, then they stopped after I repeatable told the caller that £5 a month is cheaper than £26 a month.

Sorry somehow missed this notification, only getting around to see and reply now.

I had a couple on my home telephone but luckily I wasn't there! None after that.

Ours have finally stopped. Infinity is brilliant after three years of shoddy EEBB, only regret is not swapping earlier.

Have you had the Sainsburys voucher yet?

Requested it on 15th Dec, received it today! Seeing that it was christmas period, not bad! This is what they said when I requested
"Thank you for claiming your Sainsbury's Gift Card. We are checking the details of your claim and once we've confirmed you're eligible, we'll send out your voucher within the next 30 days to the address where your broadband has been installed."

My service is now installed since i posted the deal - can honestly say have had no problems at all, this truly is a bargain. It'd be nice to have free evening calls but I have unlimited minutes on my mobile so no problem.
Please listen to all the above negative reviews. I switched to EE two weeks ago and am in the process of switching to another provider already. They've lost my phone number (which I've had for 5 years) that they were supposed to port over, customer service is disgusting, broadband speeds are awful, I have to shout if I talk on the land line as the line quality is terrible and I've requested two call backs from senior staff/managers/supervisors which never happened. I must of made 20 calls in the last two weeks trying to resolve issues and every person I speak to tells me "The last person you spoke to misadvised you, what you should of been told is . . . . " only for the next person to tell me that I have been misadvised again. It seems no one there has the first clue about anything. The most pathetic excuse for an organisation that I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. I will be refusing to pay any bill they send me and seeing them in court.

An added benefit is no traffic management policy on Sky Broadband.
this deal has been posted already.
but although sky says they don't have traffic management, they do slow down your speed. this has been confirmed by many existing sky customers
Too good to be true IME.

Online only offer. Website aborts order process. Directs to phone centre who refuse deal and try to flog a TV package.
But........a £6.95 router delivery applies - or just use your own !

The deals around are all dependant on what you are looking for, the first thing you need yo ask yourself is what service you going to be doing on your broadband.

that should give you an idea of the package you are looking for (capped/unlimited)
secondly is the speeds you are wanting, see if your exchange is enabled with fiberoptic or if vergin is in the area (Google
openreach checker, and also check virgins checker)

Ok now that's out of the way.
everyone but vergin use the wholesale lines (owned by Bt wholesale) so the speed you get with one provider should be simular to another. Basicaly i know that BT pushes through 100% of what they can at any given time, ofc there are factors involved(how far your property if from the exchange)

so three the groundwork here is the nitty gritty part

the difference when you are not with Bt is that the line is rented out to the other providers for example talktalk so they are in charge of all costs maintainable on that line while they are renting it from wholesale. So if they are blameing Bt its because they need an engineer to come out and repair the line it will be an openreach engineer who will drive a Bt van but its not allways a Bt engineer (you see sky engineers driving Bt vans all the time).

secondly at the exchange you're line is hooked up to the server rack/switches belonging to your service provider e.g. Talk talk. Now this is where you're BB connection hits your isp and that is where all of the throttling/managment goes on. Another factor in this is ofc the quality of the equipment they use (use worse equipment higher ping/delays
the speed you get from Bt is the maximum you will get through the property at your current property.
Surprised it's so cold, I was thinking it's the best broadband deal out there and was going to go for it.

Anyone can recommend a better deal?
Aren't their prices due to go up this month?
Changed to sky last December so disappointed in them since day 1 there has been a prob with either broadband or tv their customer service isn't great the people at call centre are nice but keep passing the buck they say it's BTs fault have had about 7 engineers out they then say the prob is with the TV . Broadband always been slow and the on demand /catch up is a joke took 5 hours to download neighbours a 25min programme and was told that was normal . I am fed up complaining feel like getting no where with it just going to wait till contract finished and go back to Virgin never had these kind of probs with them . Also was meant to get a £25 m&s voucher which I never got when I complained was told it was a mistake should never have been told that so beware of them I have been very disappointed .
