this is as mentioned ia like a samsung vr which you put your phone in and you can view it in 360°and 3D but you csn expect its not going to be as good but for 5.99 i think its a good price and for those who voted hot i do like them to provide us with a better deal for something similar

make sure your phone is compatible with google cardboard before you buy this..wasted my money not doing this

this isnt cardboard, its a fairly heavy black plastic headset. My 14 year old bought himself one and its well worth the money. You put your phone in it (download the games or films first) and its pretty good. Defintely cant grumble for the price especially considering my son wanted one much dearer, this one does the job the same

Google Cardboard is the brand name of Google's VR software, it's nothing to do with the material (well, it was originally, but not now).

You can use the free Google Cardboard app on iOS or Google Play or any other VR app on either App Store with this. Just be aware that smaller phones don't work as well because you can see the edges and that some older android phones aren't powerful enough to run the software (you can download before buying). Otherwise, they're not bad.

However, these ones don't have a magnetic button on the side which is often used to make menu choices in apps, so you'd need a Bluetooth controller with it or just apps that don't use that button.

or a seperate magnet

You need to download an app on your phone for Virtual reality then place your phone in the holder and look at the screen, you can move your head and it feels like you are actually there

It is a good deal as it's virtually ( excuse the pun) the same one that Smyths Toys are selling for £29.99 and Sainsburys £45.00 so even though posted already should not be going cold,. Heat from me 8)

Bought one of these and they are exceptional value and quality for the price. Using the BBC 360 app you can get a ringside seat at the Olympic games - probably a bit late now as they are almost over. Great buy

Does anyone know if these are still on the shelf ?
