this is the cheapest 2gb 6950.

I've already ordered mine from novatech for £200 :(

alternatively for a reference card for £2 less but with added delivery at saverstore
is the HIS card definitely a reference card? 6970 flash?

if so i might just return the vtx i bought from novatech

The HIS card has the same model number as the reference card on HIS' website. It also has AMD on the PCI-E connector in the pictures, which is a 100% sign of a reference card.

My friend bought the HIS and flashed it to all the shaders without issue, I bought a gigabyte card and did the same.
cheers mate. i now have to return my 5850, then refuse delivery for the novatech 6950 and then wait for this to arrive. hope it all goess to plan and no hours spent talking to any cusstomer services.
Can some one who owns thsi particular card confirm that they have flashed it to act as a 6970?
Just found out that the newer versions of this card are locked and cannot be flashed to 6970 :( Sad.

Buy the one from saverstore, i can confirm it is a reference design, and I unlocked it. but the price has gone up now.

btw after i unlocked mine i did some research, and its better to just unlock the shaders and overlock rather than flash the bios. minimal improvements with more risk.
