Great if you can only go to the cinemas over the weekends as otherwise Orange Wednesday (you can get an Orange pay as you go SIM with those free SIM deals) and the lastminute.com Vue Mon - Thu deals with tickets for £4.25 are more appealing as there is no monthly subscription to pay.

Guess, it works well if you go to the movies every weekend.

I'd rather use Orange wednesdays.

I have a Cineworld card and pay £10.99 a month for unlimited films at the cinema. I go seven or eight times a month and it works out dirt cheap.

Thanks for that

If Cineworld is your local cinema then yes, I totally agree, their unlimited card is fantastic.

This is probably good for a couple who, like you, tend to visit the cinema a heck of a lot and don't want to be limited to just wednesdays. It is after all only 3.99 per month.

Yes the vue-lastminute.com offer of 4.25 per ticket is great if you're not worried about having to be there early to make sure you can get tickets (aren't they standby tickets?) for the screening you want, right? To be honest I haven't tried it for myself so I really don't know if its easy to see the movie you want with those tickets. Maybe you can tell me more about it THX? thanks:)

Cheers for the feedback :)

My little brother works for Vue Cinemas. He said it usually applies to films atleast two weeks after release or with low attandance. It's the cheapest ticket free so If you buy one Adult and one child you pay the adult fare. At £6.60 for an Adult ticket, its not a great deal but will save a bit for some people.

cheers for that jack... good to have some inside info ;-)

stick to the vue-lastminute.com one in that case

I bought one of these last year on eBay and it has been great value. I paid £7 for a card with 11 months on it.

I've used it about a dozen times, so have easily had my money's worth.

Jack is absolutely right about new releases not being covered - for details see http://www.myvue.com/2for1/

the vue lastminute.com is great; works mon- thu, you buy the ticket online from lastminute.com for a particular vue cinema for 4.25 any time after 12noon (we used it for london west end as the price is the same for all cinemas, quite a savings considering the THX sound screen is 13 pounds per person); you then simply go to the cinema with the printout and see any movie of your choice for any show after 12noon. only a limited number of tickets are release for each vue cinema per day.

Hi, this is my first post, but I took this out 2 weeks ago, have never received the card & you need to cancel in writing! Better off buying it from ebay!

LOVE this site! by the way.

I posted the deal the £4.25 deal from lastminute when it became available again once it expired around xmas last year, which i think is much better value, as it's for any film and any time, so there are no restrictions and my local Vue cinema up the road charges £9 and the one in west end charges £13 per ticket, so it would work out cheaper through there without the need to pay a subscription either.

If you would obviously prefere to go on weekends like most people do and you don't mind being slightly restricted on the films you watch, then this deal is brilliant.

Bare in mind that there are ways to get hold of these subscriotions for a small one off fee or even free, rather than paying £3.99 every month for a year.

Please be aware that I received my card today, after a wait of three weeks & was suprised to find that I had been charged £2.50 for postage! Not a lot I know, but I don't remember any mention of this when I applied (might have missed it). So my FREE months trial has already cost me £2,50!

i agree that orange weds seems way better

i got one of these cards and only later noticed it wasn't for new releases.
i had to threaten them with legal action before they would refund. not very nice people to deal with.

remember to pick up your money off voucher when you go to see a film. think this gives you up to £1.75 off your next visit.
If you go on Tuesday it is £4.00 all day...

I go with my daughter on Tuesdays and use the voucher and it only costs £5.00 for an adult and a child..... cheap as chips!!!

Remember as well the "any 8 for £6.99" offers on food and drink...another bargain if you are going in a group of 4.:p
