Vue cinema Kids AM tickets £1.25 for Kids and Adults

ChewchewcherooChewchewcheroo

I think this has come up before but there appears to be more films available now under the deal. The following films appear to be showing at most cinemas:

Gnomeo and Juliet
The Itch of The Golden Nit - followed by Wallace and Gromit in 'A Matter of Loaf and Death'
Rio
Hop

Tickets are £1.25 per person (Child or Adult) which seems a great deal. There are also other films which look more cinema specific. You can save on the booking fee by booking at your cinema or just turning up. Although obviously this allows for the possibility of some very unhappy little faces

They run the same sort of thing at Cineworld but its only a £1. And where I live the Vue cinema is a dive.

In Exeter I find Odeon a better option, as Odeon dont charge for adults and VUE do (or they used to), so it works out cheaper at Odeon, and they tend to play the same films at the same times, also VUE is always sold out when i try to go on Saturdays.

"ODEON Kids screenings have been chosen especially for children and are every Saturday and Sunday mornings at pocket money prices. What's more with every child ticket you get a free adult ticket - so mums and dads get to go FREE! "

Sadly, not every Odeon takes part though.

We've got an Odeon near us, Vue is further away but we still travel to Vue as the cinema is SO much better and far cheaper. Yes an adult is free at Odeon but it's £2.50 for a child's ticket so the same price as Vue at £1.25 each, know where I'd rather go, our Odeon has just put adult tickets up to £9.50 each!! Do they not realise that if they halved the price of everything they'd sell far more tickets.

Private Equity owners, so never get very good deals. Vue for me now, got fed up with their prices and lack of investment in the cinemas.

    Thanks

I was sure this is normally £1 too. Still better than paying full price, of course.:)

I do prefer the Vue in Exeter to the ODEON....

however the Picturehouse has just re-done its screens and its seats and is now superior to both!

and i love their HD screen and projector! saw Akira there the other day! looked lovely!

lots crisper than Harry Potter in the Vue!

Watching a film at Vue cinema, mine at least is like watching a film in the 80's at the cinema...

Blu-Ray at home, what is the point of cinema anymore - The projection quality is just awful
And for £8 a ticket to see HP8 the other night, thats the last time I'm falling for that!

    :(

    £12 a ticket for HP here! :(

Kids AM has gone up recently from 95p per person to £1, and now £1.25. Still a great deal though; weekends, school holidays, and if you're lucky inset days too :-) (Cwmbran does).
For those of you who also get stung for drinks and popcorn they also do a 'Kids AM' kids combo; small popcorn and drink £1.50.

I wish we had an Odeon or Vue nearby. We only have one independent cinema which has no kids' mornings, clubs or anything :-(. Nearest Vue is 35 miles away & Odeon is 60 miles!
