Can anyone tell me if its worth paying the extra for the benq w1070+ with its new back lit remote and higher contrast spec.
I looked into this as well. They use the same darkchip3, same bulb technology (a very mild bump in lumens, but the w1070 is a light canon anyway). No discernible picture difference, same colour, motion, contrast and 3d. The only upgrade is MHL compatability and ability to upgrade (at additional cost) the wireless kit. Personally, I couldn't justify the extra £200, when a 5m HDMI cable is under £3.00

Here's a couple of independent reviews:

The original w1070 remote is back-lit as well (at least mine is - purchased a couple of weeks ago)!

Bought the W1070 a couple of weeks ago from Richer Sounds. The remote is backlit, and the projector is fantastic.
How does this compare to the Optoma HD141X Full HD 3D 1080p Projector?
Unless you really need the wireless HD thingy, Then in know way is it worth an extra 200 quid, As has been said, The w1070 has a backlit remote, And the picture is already fantastic, So unless you put the two together you will never know if the w1070+ is microscopically better on the picture front, If your after a projector, This is a no brain.
