My first go so be lenient i saw this in the daily star but its nowhere online from what i can see left a couple of comments on other w200i deals but none matched this,
Anyway i rang Argos to confirm this deal and the operator had to put me on hold to check herself then i got yes its a w200i with free digilogic set top box and the phone comes with data cable, software disc, headphones, charger and 128memory card.
I was told its available online and instore for reserve which i did and have got :) its a great offer for what you get.
The phone was available in both colours my wife wanted white which was vodaphone packaged which might clash with the black w200i O2 deals i have also seen.
I cant provide a link as i can`t find one...
Argos tel:0870 600 8784 i rang this but the operator had to search for the deal and the guys instore were a bit supprised aswell.

the info is on the Argos site, it's just a little difficult to immediately find it.
Go to the Argos W200i page click the red "special offers" text.
Don't think this will be acheiveable on-line as the freebie STB item number that you are also supposed to add to your basket is not recognised by the site! So looks like stores only, if STB in stock.

Similar to this deal from October 2007
yes but the link does not mention the free digibox and the phone op said it was available to purchase the deal over the phone only i chose to pick up via instore.
yes but the link does not mention the free digibox ...

I don't understand your comment because I see a direct ref to the STB
The link takes you to the phone detail page where clicking the red "Special offer" text says:
Free Digihome set top box (518/0530) when you buy the Vodafone Sony Ericsson W200i (547/4318). To receive this offer add both items to trolley. Offer ends 7th January 2008.
Alternatively, on the same page click the red text that says "Click here for details". :whistling:
If you try and add the digibox by search number you get the error message:

'Sorry, we are unable to find the catalogue number(s) highlighted in your list.

This may be because a number is incorrect or the item is no longer available.

For items that cannot be purchased or reserved online, please visit your nearest store.' :whistling:
good deal voted hot!
Have just rang Argos, the digibox does exist but not under a listed catalogue number and guess what it's out of stock, he said they may have stock available as deliveries are normally in on Saturdays and you will only be able to take advantage of this offer by ordering over the phone, so keep trying ..A good offer if you can get it in the end..still voted hot
Are they all gone? :whistling:
The website wont let you order these but ring the telephone number in the earlier post and they will reserve at your local store for you. Good deal thanks
Added price, retailer name to thread title, direct link and image. Please see the links in my signature for help on posting deals. :)
Just read the original post and a bit confused....do you mean argos are doing it on both vodaphone and o2? just different coloured handsets. Or are they only doing it on vodaphone under this 34.99 deal? thanks x
It is available in vodafone or o2. The o2 one has a different offer - discounted protective cover.

ahh i see...thanks. So no free digibox with that one!?
thanks for this - ordered a black one on O2 for travelling daughter, as it has triband (but no bluetooth) - good price!

got it today, used £10 voucher from Wii (Argos) & Nectar card too so really good price

did you get anything with yours?
A word of warning - if the phone price is good then go for the deal based on that alone - if you think that the set top box is a bonus, you might find that it's not.
When Argos were selling this STB on their own I had 3 of them (the original and 2 replacements). They were a nightmare - the only thing they didn't do was to catch fire. The list of problems they had was as long as my arm.
Argos gave me my money back in the end, so at least I wasn't out of pocket. I think that Argos now giving them away speaks volumes !!
I got 2 of these phones with the Freeview box when they were priced at £39.99. I sold both phones on Ebay, one for £30 and the other for £35. The product code on the Digilogic box is 518/0530.

I've just ordered another 2 for collection tomorrow. Now the phones are just £34.99 you are virtually getting the Freeview box FREE.

Thanks OP voted ++++++++
did you get anything with yours?

Nothing free with the O2 one, just some money off a cover which I haven't bothered with.
Seems the website is not allowing you to buy anything... Rang them up and they are aware of the problem... Cant even order on the phone to reserve for store collection as they need to log onto the website too!
Got mine. Reserved the phone on line first just in case then went into the store and gave both catalogue numbers to customer service and the deal came up. Thanks OP:-D
Picked up mine today from Walsall, didnt reserved or phone. Just walked straight in store and gave the cat no:) Its a Digilogic freeview box you get with the phone incase anyone wondered. Might picked another one tomorrow from Argos in Oldbury.
Vodafone shops have these for £40 with free £30 Sony Ericsson speakers if that helps anyone.
Sorry this does`nt help seeing as Asda has it in black for less with speakers
Thats a bit of an abrupt answer... It may help someone who doesn't have access to an Asda store, and the difference is only 2 quid anyway.

Politeness costs nowt!
