This is pretty much THE best graphics tablet for the enthusiast, short of buying the professional "intuos" models.

RRP is £170, Ebuyer are £150, Amazon are £137, so this is a really good price for anyone after a tablet.

This model has "touch" capability as well, so you can use it with the pen, or as a giant laptop touchpad.

Also comes with a full version of Adobe Photoshop Elements as a download.

Full blurb:

The new Bamboo Fun combines multi-touch functionality and pen tablet technology in a single device. A simple tap of the finger will select an icon or open a menu. With two fingers you can easily zoom or rotate photos, scroll down web pages, or flip through a photo album.

Styled in silver and white, Bamboo Fun comes in two sizes – small and medium. Both sizes allow you to create natural-looking paintings, drawings or doodles. You can retouch, manage and share your photos – or personalise your documents using handwritten notes, sketches or doodles.

A variety of useful Bamboo apps inside Bamboo Dock are kept ready for download, as well as full versions of Adobe Photoshop Elements and ArtRage – Bamboo Fun Medium even comes with a full version of Corel Painter Essentials. Use Bamboo Fun with any operating system to tangibly enhance your creative output.

Just been reading up about this. According to some reviews, there are 4 spare nibs in the box, so they should last a while.

I guess this is a bigger problem if you also use it as a complete replacement for a mouse.

A friend just bought the Wacom small bamboo on here for £40, I've just bought the Intuos 4 large for £317. This is a nice tablet, very accurate and slightly more accurate than my Intuos 4!

Wacom Bamboos are great tablets, I've been using the smaller one for years as a complete replacement for a mouse. My current one has lasted about 4 years and is still going strong. One of the nice things about these is that the cable disconnects from the device (Mini-USB), so there's no chance of breaking the cable and having to throw the whole thing away (like some cheaper tablets)
