BulldogNo1 posted this a few days back, but some numpty who couldn't work out how to use the internet expired it before it even got any heat.
I know it's in October, but usually these £9 deals are limited to the crappy Travelodges that are in the middle of nowhere/motorway. Not only that, but the current £9 offer is supposed set to start in November. But this one is because it's a new hotel that's opened, so it's some kinda promotion they have on.

Or if you don't want to risk October weather, then you can book for next summer at £9 a night too...£63 for a week in Cornwall. Not bad at all when most other Cornwall travelodges will want that per night.

This is a top spot for cycling, walking, birdwatching - it's right next to the Camel Trail which runs along the riverbank to Padstow.
Nearby is the Bodmin & Wenford steam railway, Tintagel, Boscastle, Newquay.
The Hotel is right next to the cycle hire shops too.
Good Chippy & Pubs in the towns centre 2 minutes away.

hmm. Husband just booked and paid for 3 nights but has somehow got 2 rooms by mistake. £54. Stuffed as he clicked the direct debit payment before wondering why 3 x £9 is £54.
edit : he booked 3 rooms for friday, 2 rooms for saturday & 1 for sunday. I've managed to alter them to fri - weds inc for a surcharge of £10. He's happy as he's going to watch the Hartland Hill Climb.

The only problem with deals like this one is that any time you cross paths with someone in the hotel you will keep wondering "is this a fellow HUKD'er?"

You will soon realise that those who walk with a skip in their stride and a knowing twinkle in their eye are your comrades, wallowing in the secret satisfaction of having paid less than those fools at the lobby paying full price for a room. How you snigger at them inside.

Until you realise that you never wanted to spend the ruddy weekend in a travelodge out in the sticks and that you succumbed once again to your addiction to HUDK and booked your ticket "just because it was cheap".

I'll see you all at the hotel bar.

I'll be in the bar with my large vodka and diet coke in ( yes it must be diet ) in one hand and a hot hunky bit of trade that i've picked up in another :)

OK, I'll admit it was me who originally posted this Wadebridge £9 deal. Somebody expired it, and even though I reported it to a Mod it still remained expired.

Another tip now that I have filled my boots (and diary!):

Try searching Wadebridge for next year (2011) You may be suprised what you can get right the way up to 26th Aug. All half terms, easter and summer holidays!!!

"but some numpty who couldn't work out how to use the internet expired it before it even got any heat"

Was their username somenumptywhocouldntworktheinternet?

Or did they just have a big banner on their forehead which said 'I am a numpty and cannot use the internet'?
