I'll second that. Give your dog some quality food.

Hve fun feeding your dog prime steak , mean while my labradors love this . HOT

Wagg's very good dog food, used by many working dog owners. Not much fancy colouring etc and recommended by various vets. My dogs certainly calmer than she ever was eating bakers, pedigree and various other brands.

A good test for pet food is that if you can buy it in a supermarket it's rubbish.

This is a hot deal but i am with those who said it is very poor quality: Try this site and type in the make, then you will see what goes in it!

Yep! Main ingredient - wheat. The number one giveaway for crap food.

Got to agree. Having recently lost a dog to cancer, people need to have a good look at what actually goes into the well known branded dog foods. www.dogfoodanalysis.com is a good starting point.

Had nothing but bad experiences with dogs on this, probably a coincidence but eh. Good deal for dustbin type dogs though.
#19
if this is bad deal what would you reccommend!
#20
I usually buy 15kg bags from [email protected] for £10. Definite bargain!

As for those slating the quality, I've had many dogs over the years who have lived long, healthy lives on "food like this"

Good friend of mine has a lab, same as mine, cept he turns his nose up at Wagg and ends up on the 40-50 pound food and I kid you not, my dog runs rings around him and looks a lot better for it.

But hey, personal preference I suppose :)

True - dogs are carnivores. This is defined by their physiology NOT by what we feed them! They will eat wheat, beet pulp, molasses and lots of other biologically inappropriate foods, but that does not mean that it is good for them.

Ever wondered why a dogs teeth need cleaning and don't last a lifetime in many cases, why they produce such huge piles of smelly waste, why they have skin problems?
This can all be the result of feeding an inappropriate diet.

Dog foods have to list the main ingredient on the packet by volume. If wheat is in the first two ingredients, avoid it like the plague!

Dog food manufacturers are nearly all off shoots of multi-national human food processing companies and dog food is a profitable means of disposing of waste ingredients from the food production process.
Cheap dog food really is the 'sweepings off the floor'.

Would you eat junk food every day - I guess no, so why feed it to your dog?

Voted cold - it may be a bargain price, but the consequences of feeding junk last a (probably shortened) lifetime.

Well your average human treats him / herself like this, so why be surprised we do the same to dogs?

Rather than preaching about a wheat laced diet, I'd be more worried about generations of in-breeding for vanity, people trying to humanise dogs, and the vast numbers being put into rescue week after week after week.....
#24
This really is a false economy.

Cheap dog food = less healthy dog = more vet bills

Ask any show exhibitors what they feed their dog and you can guarantee it won't be from a supermarket!
#25
As theyre carnivores by nature if all these foods are so bad and with your obviously superior moral standing , im guessing you feed your dogs freshly killed carcass's , or fresh meat ? if not then stop your preaching, my Lab runs rings around every dog including farm bred Labs and Estate bred Labs who are bred for hunting , his coat is glossy and he's checked by the vet every year just before stud , so far hmmm no problems , must be something special in the wagg he eats then.

dog snobs as usual , get back to inbreeding to make sure you get the perfect pedigree , stuff the dogs real health which is more down to the inbreeding than its food eh as long as you can preach on a forum.

Good for you , i commend you , seriously i do i wish i could afford to feed my labs the same quality meat that i feed my children, until i can my dogs are more than happy to eat this , they have tried other foods including Bakers which is possibly THE worst for making doge hyper active due to the colourants etc.

The food that I give my dogs, the butcher pays to have taken away (to be rendered and processed by pet food companies). You can feed a dog for almost nothing and it is healthy. It is fit for human consumption, but is the bits that no one wants.

Just got back from my local Asda.
These bags of Wagg are £9.91 in there.
#32
I'm no expert, but what I do know is this. My greyhound has to eat low protein kibble, or she has far too much energy. We used to feed her the expensive stuff - but it made her restless, gave her terrible flatulence, and runny yellow poo.

Since changing to Wagg, she's got just the right amount of energy, doesn't smell, and her poo is solid - and a better colour. She also has a shiny coat, abd her teeth are fine. She also gets other stuff, like pilchards, some chicken and occasionally some dog meat etc.

Apologies if you've just eaten :-)

The seasonal aisle only had tins of Pedigree Chum on offer and staff told me they dont have any Wagg on offer. This deal is for 12 kilo bags, so its obviously only store specific.
#35
Ive never seen 12kg bags of wagg , only 15kg and 17 kg(though not seen the 17kg for a while)

Looked in my local ASDA and had 2.5kg bags at £2odd and 15kg at 9.91 >???????????
#36
the 12k and in that colour are the asda pet promo £5 bags. They did it last year a few months ago and again now. They will just be getting rid of the last few

I ordered loads of these online through Quidco and used a voucher for free delivery - booked a time slot for 10am today - saw the van outside and got ready to help him before he drove away!! Phoned up their rubbish customer service who said that the order had been cancelled!! No-one phoned me to tell me why and the customer service said they would get the store to ring me... two hours later still no phone call!! So phoned once again and guess what?! They have none in stock and won't be getting any... asked for an explanation as to why no-one contacted me given they have two contact numbers for me?!! They apparently rang me at 9am!! Informed them that the delivery slot was at 10am - 12 so common sense would surely dictate that they should ring me then???!! ASDA - rubbish!! Doubt I will waste my time using their online site again!! Great - wasted a day of my life and numerous phonecalls at an expense to me ..... END OF RANT!! lol
