Try copy and paste the link on my first comment, for some reason it is not linking all of the website.

Why pick that particular model out as a"deal" you pay a LOT more for the silver colour!
As it happens it also appears to be very much out of stock in most places too!

Surely http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/4428901/Trail/searchtext%3EWAHL.htm#pdpFullProductInformation is a better buy @ £15.31 although not easy for stock either, but at least can be ordered for delivery!

In reality, I wouldn't buy either, though, the "professional" in the names is a bit misleading, the TRUE professional WAHL models (eg. "Super Taper" etc.) are a better buy even though about double the price, but they perform far better

Really, I've heard many positive reviews about the wahl taper but still wondering if I should purchase a set. What are the main differences between a domestic clipper and the super taper?

Simply more power, so you don't get the pulling and dragging or snatching of the cheap low powered ones even with the thickest of hair, (or that buzz noise needing re-adjustment) but even on thinner hair they are much quicker too. Less uncomfortable on the scalp as you don't constantly need to go over and over again to get a precision finish

Sounds brill, although the major downside that I've heard about is the excessive amount of vibration. Is this true?

More the opposite, they adjust the same way with the screw, but are less prone to going into that buzzing mode when they are not quite adjusted right, I presume that's because they have more power to cut through regardless!

Now the challenge is to get them at the right price!
I can see them around £40 to 41 delivered, eg. http://www.shavers.co.uk/shopping.php?product_id=444&utm_source=base&utm_medium=directory
good luck at beating that!

There are some other WAHL true Professional models maybe worth looking at, eg the "Balding" type, which are for cutting to true "zero" just I have no personal experience of them, I opted for the more general purpose type Super Taper model.

That's a funny way of showing thanks, you have searched out an old deal of mine, the only one that for some reason hasn't been expired, and even though it's long dead, you have commented and voted it down, presumably as I was critical of this deal!
For those who want to see for themselves - see here:
http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/kenwood-ch180-mini-chopper-13-49-am/789698?p=10452154
(if you are there, would you be good enough to expire the deal too if it isn't expired yet!)

I have seen some very funny tricks on this site, but that one is the most sad yet:-(
Amazing!

Thankfully the ignore function on this site still works. You are now on it.
