  Well I went back for more today, they are on the top shelf and there were only a few packs left, I think as they were hard to reach. Fortunately my other half waa tall enough to reach some. So, don't make a special journey to Astley Bridge ASDA unless your over 6 foot tall! X)

  @sofiasar, Obviously haven't shopped for crisps in a long while. Walkers have made 16 packs the new 18, as well as 22 being the new 24. The reason why doesn't take much working out. Let's sell you a multipack with less crisps in, but charge the same price so you might not notice.
  
  Will definitely be store specific, as I was browsing the aisle of my Asda earlier. We had loads on the £2 offer, but I'd have grabbed some if I found some at £1.
