This was originally £15 and is now only £5, it might be rubbish and you might only play with it once but its only a fiver,

disclaimer - not sure if you can use this while driving

** This definitely has no legal exemption for use whilst driving.

"You can use hands-free phones, sat navs and 2-way radios when you’re driving or riding. But if the police think you’re distracted and not in control of your vehicle you could still get stopped and penalised."

upto the coppers as usual

It's not actually a radio though therefore there's no legal exemption:

Firstly, it's not hands free. Quite the opposite in fact.
Secondly it's not a sat nav or 2 way radio. It's part of a phone set up.
It has to be totally hands free i.e.. no physical user interaction is needed to answer or make call

I appreciate the legalities but if you have a cb radio fitted to your vehicle already and the police see you using this how are they going to prove it wasn't the cb you were using???.........just saying ;)

You're allowed to physically press the call button to answer, just not hold anything to make the call.

Phone records from your mobile company (assuming it goes to court...)

And the fact that you don't have a CB fitted anyway. Do you?

Now, the question is should I dump my Motorola V3 flip phone (complete with 24 CTU ringtone) so I can use the stupid mic?

By seizing your phone as evidence of a potential offence and carrying out data analysis.....easy.....and you have no phone then for potentially weeks...........give it a try if you have a cb radio
