Good price for this - elsewhere:-
SendIt.com £19.98
Amazon UK £21.97
Play.com £21.99
HMV £22.99
Base.com £24.95

The two-disc set of The Walking Dead's first season includes all six episodes, as well as a number of making-of extras, including the show's conception and production, a talk with Robert Kirkman (he's a fan), a look at the makeup by KNB Studios, and the show's panel at the 2010 ComicCon. All of the principal players on both sides of the camera are given adequate screen time to discuss their vision for the show, its influences (George Romero, naturally), and the challenges of depicting the end of civilisation on a budget.

Based on a graphic novel, the drama follows Rick Grimes, a sheriff’s deputy played by British actor Andrew Lincoln (This Life), who wakes from a coma only to find that the country has been overrun by zombies.

Featurettes:

• The Making of The Walking Dead
• Inside The Walking Dead: Episode 1-6
• A Sneak Peek with Robert Kirkman
• Behind The Scenes: Zombie Make-Up Tips
• Convention Panel with Producers
• The Walking Dead Trailer

Extra Footage:

• Zombie School
• Bicycle Girl
• On Set with Robert Kirkman
• Hanging with Steven Yeun
• Inside Dale’s RV
• On Set with Andrew Lincoln

The advantage that this series has over all of the others that were cancelled is that it's based on a comic, which has remained popular because of it's unrelenting pace and content. Hopefully (all digits crossed), it should make it easier to keep the action going, without the need for the convoluted, meandering storylines.:)

The Walking Dead brought to you with Rage. Ahhh! I can't get it out of my head.

Another series that gets half way and then cancelled, I'll bet.

Moderately well acted with an OK storyline and quite likeable characters.

But not a touch on the 'X' files or 'Heroes.'

This started off well but soon went down hill. Have yet to see the final episode though. Could someone tell me why in a country where gun's are everywhere, they can't seem to find enough?

Just one point that I remember was how bad the daughter was at dying.

She was obviously very much alive whilst acting dead.

Did anyone else notice?

Good series I thought.
The second season is being filmed now, all sorts of rumours going about, one of which is they could be heading for a prison as a safe house. Makes sense really

Rumours? It follows the comic book, no real room for rumours.

Like saying it is rumoured that Harry dies at the end of the Harry Potter films, kinda odd.

Yeah, it was unusually short. Season two is due to be a more reasonable length, with thirteen episodes.

Executive producer Robert Kirkman said "One thing that's very important to me is that no one comes into this television show having read the comic knowing exactly what's going to happen," he says. "We're always going to change things up and keep people guessing."
