This is a cracking deal - I played this last year and was really pleasantly surprised with how involving, entertaining and innovate the gameplay was.

Got to ask, what made the gameplay innovative? TTG games tend to just be a series of QTEs, but you buy them for the stories which tend to be enjoyable, does this do anything different?

Good price anyway, so heat added.

I found the Telltale Walking Dead series to have a really unique blend of great storyline, pretty decent voice acting and a way to genuinely make you care about the characters.

I guess if you've played that type of game before, it might not be as innovative to you - but I was really impressed.

Fair enough, wondered if they'd added something I might have missed as I haven't played any of their more recent games - innovation is hard to come by these days ;)

Heat OP! Just be aware that a recent update seems to have screwed the resolution settings up on this, it was fine until a few weeks ago :(

Loads on the Steam forums about it. Haven't heard of any fixes on the horizon.

I only completed it last week, I didn't have any resolution problems. Maybe it's incompatible with a certain type of gfx card.
As for the game, I played it twice with different options and you do get different outcomes which is nice (who dies, who stays alive, different responses etc). I liked it enough but it's no different to the other TTG games of this ilk. Heat for the price, definitely worth a buy if you like either TWD in general or TTG games!

It sounds like the majority of the gameplay is the same (I've not played the other TT games). If you've not played the other Walking Dead ones, I believe their main difference is that all of your decisions are remembered, and affect outcomes later in the story, particularly when you are given the option of saving one person and letting another die. So, if one person dies, one survivor will react unfavourably toward you later for it, but if another dies, you'll get a different scenario with somebody else disliking you.

Yes, I've played the first one and a few other of their games, but think the last one was the Borderlands one. Found they hyped up the 'your choice matters' thing too much and made me a bit disappointed in the first TWD game as the games tend to deal with choices in an episode and then mostly forget about them. If I get them now it is just for the story, but tbh I think I'm a bit burnt out on the formula so any innovation over previous games would have been welcome :)

Hehe, I know what you mean. I remember when I was playing through it, and I got to one of the "KENNY WILL REMEMBER THAT!" moments, and I thought "Oh, crap! What have I done?", then I got to a later part where I got to experience the repercussions of my previous choice, and all that happened was a close-up of Kenny's face, and he pulled an angry face at me! "Oh, no! Not the angry face!"X)
