Not to be outdone by the Toffifee (100G) and Toblerone (170G) for around a Pound at various places, I have pleasure in finding Granny's Favourite box of 3 Nestle Walnut Whips (98G) for a single Pound in Poundland, both instore and online (+postage).
I personally don't like the Walnut part, so I throw that to the ducks, but the rest or the Whip is lovely.

Please pig out responsibly.

Other places have them for £1.50 and a box of 6 for £2.49.

Edit: It's been pointed out that apparently these are for anyone, not just Grannies

When I was a little my Mom told my sister and me that the walnuts were poisonous and took them off us and promptly ate them! It didn't dawn on us at the time that if they were poisonous to us they would surely be poisonous to her I later remembered this and queried it with her thinking maybe she was worried about us choking on the nuts or something to which she said "no, I just like them!" oO

I remember when I bought one of these when I was a teenager, I took the wrapper off and it had a big hair sticking out of the top, I could swing it around.

Never bought one since.

Now then, well not all the time, they come in and out, granted I'm not always on the hunt for them but on special Granny occasions I look out for them and they're not always stocked! And I thought, as its granny treating season I'd post this to make people aware of the vast savings that can be had.

Why? Is there something offensive about being a Granny, being old, or someone else liking the same sweets as you? Very odd comment.

they should bring back the maple and pecan!

They're my wifes favourite.
I go to Poundland every 2-3 weeks and they always have them.

Don't know about Grannies, but could do a lot for GrandDADS as it's been shown that walnut consumption has been linked with reduced risk of cancer of the prostate.

Kids: Happy Christmas Granny

Granny: Happy Christmas kids! Now it's time for Granny to show you her walnut whip

Kids: We've called Operation Yewtree Granny

I love Christmas :\

Got my mum some as a stocking filler.

Wouldn't be Christmas without Walnut Whips, Matchmakers (mint) and Turkish Delight Rose and Lemon

Walnut Whips today are not a patch on the Walnut Whips of my youth (1960s/70s), then they were made of very thick swirled chocolate (not preformed in moulds like today), the 'whip' filling was much thicker inside and yes there was always a half walnut in the bottom of every whip so you did indeed get 2 half walnuts with every 'Whip'.

Whilst I'm remembering the chocolate of my youth, does anyone remember the two bars that never get mentioned - 'Ice Breaker' and 'Mint Cracknell'?
