From the early black and white cartoons in 1935 to his first adventures in vibrant, living colour. These cartoons illustrate the development in animation techniques, and influencing the styles of future filmmakers. Includes Mickey's very first appearance in 'Steamboat Willie' plus 'Mickey's Fire Brigade' and 'The Band Concert' and many more.

This is an amazing collection. I have the region 1 numbered tin version and it cost me an arm and a leg. Its going for about 80 quid on marketplace now though. The picture quality is not quite up to the Looney Tunes golden collections but has some nice extras with Leonard Maltin. Its also not his complete colour shorts, The remaining shorts can be found on Mickey in living color volume 2 . Unfortunately its not as cheap and is around £16
