Unfortunately, I can't find the bread online, so maybe just a in store offer, I'd imagine it's an end of line product. The BBE date today was 14th Jan, so well within date.

They also had the extra special mince pies 6pk for 38p but I would of though everyone is sick of the sight of them by now hence why I haven't made a seperate thread!

Nope, not the warburtons thick sliced 800g in the orange wrapping, it's not online, they do the smaller version but not the 800g loaf.

It's the same as in your pic.

Do you mean the 390g half loaf toastie? It's in orange wrap too, but is half a loaf. It's very often on offer at 50p or 2 for £1. Still a good deal

No, it was the big 800g loaf, I brought a loaf today for 50p, no reduced sticker, just priced at 50p as though it was the standard price.
It maybe worth scanning at the checkout if it says £1 in store, unless it's just my store but I don't see why it shouldn't be a nationwide price.

Not sure how to upload a pic

Take my word for it, what the point of lying, I could of said it cost 25p and make it sound even better but it was 50p. If anyone lives within distance of Asda in Redditch, check it out for yourself. If not, ring my local Asda, tel 01527 509341 and ask for a price check.

If a store has too much of an item they can get an item specific price change for that store instead of reducing all the items individually. Probably what has happened here, your Asda has got too much and instead of reducing hundreds of loafs to 50p, they just get head office to change the price for a few days for that store

Just bought 2 loaves in Wigan and they were £1 each.

Warburtons are huge Tory donors. I don't care how cheap it is. I won't buy it. Not a reason to vote down though. Fill your boots.
