Looks good to me for a Down quilt and Snuggledown were always a decent make, plus its washable. Cant be bad.

Some heat added.

Washable is good, just had a quote from the dry cleaners to have ours Freshened and they want £27 and it will take 7 days. We normally just buy a new one a couple times a year but thought of being frugal this time round.

Good price heat added.

Yep, exactly. Our good ones can be washed but must be dried flat and my BH says this is only possible in the full throws of summer, so to be able to tumble dry is great. :)

Cold voters that dont leave a reason are the scourge of this site. :(

Hot - An excellent price for a down duvet. We've had one for years and love it! Don't need a new one otherwise I would be snapping one up!

What you buy a new quilt a couple of times a year???
#7
Anyone got one of these they look good, but there isnt many reviews?
#8
Good price BTW, seriously tempted with it being full down.
#9
Just read some reviews which say the smell is nauseating and gets worse as the duvet warms up so was put off buying one. The reviews are not on this tog but on other togs of the same duvet.

Generally yes, one for summer and one for the winter, we tend to snap them up cheap at the end of the seasons ready for the next season, if you catch my drift. If they were the cheap kind you can stuff them in the washer every few weeks with no bother but some down / duck quilts are hard to wash and dry if they are not the right type.

This review is from someone who bought the 10.5 tog king size Wash and Dry Me duck down from Amazon;

Wash & Dry Me Duck Down Duvet 100% Cotton Cambric Cover 10.5 Tog King 220X225Cm (Kitchen & Home)
It's only 90% down, not 100 as it was advertised. Also, it's got a smell that doesn't go away even after washing, like egg...

this is a fantastic price for this and am voting hot.................but how on earth would you fit a king size duvet into your washing machine!!!! Obviously need to take it to a laundrette, but even at that its a brilliant price

cheers OP - I always spend a lot on my bedding and this really is a bargain

Do you sell synthetic duvets by any chance?????????????????

:p
#22
have some heat - textile world sell them at £99.99 plus p&p

I bought a duck down pillow years ago from John Lewis's bargain bucket, was very snuggly and comfy but there is a feathery smell, its not unpleasant but you sense it every time you walk into the bedroom, its something you'd have to get used to.

And on that line of thought, that means that you must obviously work for Snuggledown seeing as you're defending this so irrationally. My guess, due to your lack of English grammatical skills, would be in the warehouse. Packing boxes.

She's entitled to her opinion. You whinge and moan that cold voters don't explain why, but then when somebody does you cry your eyes out about it?

Get a grip. People can vote what they want, and don't have to answer to thread Nazis. If everybody had to vote everything hot, this site would be so full of absolute crap that it would be completely pointless anybody coming here.

They sell them at £69.99 plus p&p you have been looking at the all seasons version.

But this Amazon deal is still cheaper

Makes Amazons Was £260 laughable.

I've got a very expensive duck down one and I wash it and tumble dry it regularly with no problems at all. Never even checked the washing instructions!
#30
Voted hot.

The GF and I (note: I) paid £57 for a similar non-washable king duvet from Christy a fortnight ago. Wish we could wash and dry that one ourselves, alas not!
#31
I thought most down duvets were now washable?

Whether it will fit in your washing machine is another matter!
#32
It is cheaper but was £260, if any one paid that for it they must be stupid

brilliant! i m off to order one!

voting hot 'cause it's a great price but i'd never buy another one, they really do smell, like a slightly damp dog is the nearest i can say. horrible.
