Also, can someone with knowledge in white goods tell me which one is better of the 2?
i want durability and simplicity. I know bosch are better etc but i don't want to spend more than £230!

Our Beko died today after 3 yrs faithful service :( £120 all in from Comet Clearance it's been used daily on average and kept in an outhouse with a plastic roof - so in the depths of a Spartan winter, it's water filled innards have frozen up. Yet it still worked when defrosted ! Cost of ownership. £40 a year - less than some of these extended guarantees.

Buy Beko, then bin it when it breaks !

Out of these 2, the Indesit.

I've currently got a Beko and don't like it at all.

Both are lower end appliances. Suitable for rental properties and the likes.

Ours blew up today. I'm going to get the 8KG Beko as i'm sure its because the wife overloads the damn things.

I've got the Beko one in silver, very solid & quiet machine & great reviews. 5% Quidco too

Good choice, I bought that one for the same price from Currys a few weeks ago when it was on offer, so far so good, the "Economy" washes seem to work very well, the "Xpress Super Short" does a load in 14 minutes, at 30C, although only at 600 spin.

Still can't get over the size of the door, damned things like a portal to another universe it's that big!

It also opens 180 degrees near as damnit, my old Hotpoint on the other hand opened a tad over 45.

Indesit and Beko area both rubbish machines. If you have a low budget and don't mind replacing every 2-3 years take your pick as they are both equally as bad.

I work for a company that used to supply quality components to Indesit (when they were Hotpoint/Creda), but we were dropped when price became the defining quality - provided the machine lasts longer than the warranty, it will do as far as these companies are concerned.

Hold on, i can hear the sound of the 'engineers', you have dared to post a machine that isnt Bosch, Miele,Siemens, be prepared!(_;)

Got a basic Indesit machine when my daughter was born, she's almost 6 and it's still doing well! Hope that helps.x

Agree with Helen666. our Indesit is nearly 8 years old still going... just about. it is on last leg. i think we paid around 180.
    i can't complain really.

Ours is servis had it for 12 years! On it's last legs though only washable programme is quick wash, trips the electricity on any other. Dad used to own white goods warehouse he recommends Beko but without digital display. Indesit i don't have experience with but for £169 i don't mind giving it a go. hopefully, both these machines will last 3+ years 5+ would be a bonus!

Based on real user experience (via Which?), Beko reliability is up there with the likes of Bosch but Indesit certainly isn't. If you're savvy enough to know that a Skoda is a good buy without a prestige badge you'll probably appreciate Beko too. Ignore the brand snobs.

That said, I have a Bosch which was just £229 so they aren't always mega-money.

Nothing to do with 'brand snobs', I have been involved with 'tear-downs' with both these brands and believe me they are constructed from low-cost, low quality components.
Having said that, provided you pay for an extended warranty, you should protect yourself from any major problems, but the cost of the warranty needs to be budgeted for in the total price.

We have had a Beko fridge freezer for more than 10 years now and never had any problems with it. On the other had we have a Indesit cooker and some screws have already come loose and needed tightening a few times.

I'd say go for the Beko.

But if you afford a Bosch then get a Bosch.
    Polly_P
i dont think beko's good, they knew about the fire risk with those fridge freezers and didnt tell anyone for about 5 years, so on that reason alone, i bow my head at them :|

Scorching heat for the Beko..seriously going by some of their past products, you will actually get a lot of heat/fire!! (Just joshing)!
