nice price for a new blu ray but i usurally use amazon as they refund you the difference between their price and the cheapest on the day when you preorder with them. still have a little heat.

Or pay the extra £3 at PlayUSA to get the directors cut version which is region free.

This film ranks up there with the worst ive ever seen! Its absolute *****!

I felt depressed at the realisation that i endured 3 hours (which seemed more like a lifetime) of absolute drivvel. Id have got up and wormed the dog instead, if this film hadnt sapped me of all my strength and enthusiasm.

Dr Monotenous was the most annoying character ive ever encountered with all his wishy washy ,philosphical, apocolyptic, nonsense. If he was a real person id happily go round his house (on mars) and drop an Anvil on his head... for which id be more than happy to recieve any punishment the authorities decided apt. Call it a public service.

Alas, tis but a film. One i implore you not to watch....

I couldn't possibly disagree with you more. The original graphic novel was a masterpiece, and is recognised as such, and the film is a faithful reproduction of the story (though admittedly a little bit rushed in the three hours).

A masterpiece and the best film I've seen this year. I highly recommend to anyone looking for a and intelligent, weaving tail and deep, complex characters. Worlds apart from the usual Hollywood rubbish.

yes it is. i have it myself, as do loads of people on here.

confirmed on several sites as region free.

PlayUSA just stick 'Region 1' on everything to cover their backs.

The Directors Cut is region free and is excellent - more violent and the paper stall boy is included along with the stand sellers comments.

The blu-ray picture and sound are also magnificent. i saw the film at the London IMAX and was blown away.

I will say that reading the graphic novel is probably a must as I can understand how the film might be boring if you have not read the GN. Its the most complete transfer of a GN to film I have ever seen.

And for those that woudl prefer to watch the Graphic Novel - try this!
Its not too bad actually.

The 'motion comic' Is very good. The only down side is the talking is done by the same person for all the characters.

It's a straight moving copy of the GN and all Dave Gibbons art.

Not worth it as the UK won't be getting the director's cut as Warner Bros and 20th Century Fox cry over spilt milk
