Cheapest I have seen this.
Seems to be over 4 quid everywhere else.

this any good?

Oh here we go.
Someone will say its the greatest film ever, someone will say its the worst tripe ever, someone will say it isnt faithful enough to the graphic novel and someone will moan about the full frontal male nudity in 5.4.3.2.1.

Agree, personally i liked the film :)

I liked it too, despite the odd change I thought it was closer to the look and feel of the book than anyone could have made it. Visually stunning, not everyone's cup of tea. Blinding price though.

for 3quid worth a watch
#7
Get the Directors cut 20% more blue wang :p
#8
loved this film, nice price too, heat
#9
Obscenely cheap, heat left.
#10
Good but I want the directors cut for this !
#11
a bit weird but speaking as a comic movie fan (excluding the headache that is the hulk) i enjoyed the movie did i say a bit weird . . . blue wang haa.
#12
Great film, great price.
#13
I thought it was great; for anyone who bemoans the fact that it isn't enough like the graphic novel, you can buy "Watchmen the complete Motion Comics" (production overseen by Dave Gibbons) for £2.99 from play trade.

Its the best film ever, no it isn't, its got a disturbing blue wang, its superb, its a disgrace that isn't faithful to the comic book, its worth waiting for the directors cut at least or the american 3hour 3min version.

Hope that covers anything thats been missed so far.

Personally I watched the 3 hour version and loved it - few people I know watched the normal version and were not as keen - maybe the longer cut does explain a bit more, either way its a long film and like an adult version of X-men. Well worth £2.99 but would recommend trying for the extended editions if you are going to bother at all.

One of my favourite films but not actually read the comic book. Brilliant price for brilliant film. Like marmite though. Some of my mates hated it.
#16
I loved this film and the $ex scene on the air craft thingy is one of the best of all time.
#17
format
personally loved it, no way it could have got closer to t'comic and ending was likely better.

That's a good point actually t'comic ends quite differently; anyone who loved the movie and hasn't read t'comic should check it out.

Fantastic price =] It's one of those heavily marketed, expensive epics, put it that way. I personally really enjoyed it, it's rather melancholic, ie not exactly a happy-dappy movie, and some friends who weren't keen but don't know anyone who hated it.

I love the first review on Play. Think they might have missed the point that this is an 18 certificate film. God help them if they ever watch a Tarantino movie!

Haha, that guy on Play had this to say about a few films:
Watchmen - "whatever you do,do not let your kids watch this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
The Haunting in Connecticut - "only resembles about 10% of what actually happened in real life"
Avatar - " its nothing more than anything i have seen before"

Bad film but good price... should have been released at this price tho :)

Usual stuff coming from American theses days, visually great but no / lacks decent plot, twist was hardly a twist at end!
Where are all the decent writers? Now writing 80's classics... original!
