Not the same edition, has fewer pages, published later has different ISBN number.

This is the same one on that site you used. £10.23 + P&P.

5% Quidco from Browse for Books too! :)

9 pages less - it's hardly like they're going to have missed the ending off, is it? It'll just be adverts or credits, or even blank pages.

If you want to post cheaper then you must post like for like.
I would rather have the original 1987 version for the long run, published by Titan Books Ltd and not the 2004 edition published by Diamond Comic Distributors (with 9 pages less)

How is this not like for like? It's the same book containing the same graphic novel, with 9 (unimportant) pages less.

If I'd posted a link to a copy of V for Vendetta you might have a point, but otherwise...

Well lets see it has a different publisher, fewer pages, printed years later.

With books you will find that original first editions are worth more than reprints, maybe yours is cheaper because they cut corners (or pages )

One is the UK distributor, one is the US distributor. There is no difference in the content of the books.

If you really want more comparisons on your own super-special limited first edition mega completely different one (!), then get it for £10.79 from Waterstones by having it delivered to store. Same for Borders. Loads of people use Amazon Prime, so they could have it for £10.79 too - or spend over £15. Double the Quidco from Waterstones and Borders too (8%).

In which case, £10.99 ain't such a great deal. ;-)

Can't afford the petrol and parking to go in store to pick it up, not everyone has Prime, don't want anything else there is a credit crunch on you know so I will not be paying £15+ to get free shipping, so I guess I still win. ha ha ha :whistling:

Got mine from Amazon.com a couple of weeks ago which worked out at £9.86 delivered. I think this may have increased slightly with exchange rates though.

The fact that the price on Amazon.com is only $10.99 makes me think that the retailers over here will be making a tidy profit on this!

Thanks for that I can get some sleep now. ;-)

Graphic novels and comics are always more expensive over here though. I remember reading this when it first came out in 87 - classic indeed.
(I'm not going to join in the arguement but most comic collectors would prefer the original, not the re-issue)

Absolute masterful comics, price seems good too :)

Anyone else who have read them hyped how close the movie seems to remain to the comics? i am :D

The real original was actually 12 comics which came out starting in '86 almost month by month (wasn't there a break for a couple of months as it wasn't finished?!) before it came out as a graphic novel - I have 'em all sealed and unopened except for the first five (only 5 had been published at that time) which I opened for Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons to sign... been waiting since then for the film to come out... and keeping my fingers crossed Zack Snyder does a good job so I can sell 'em and make me enough money to buy a nice Rorschach mask.

I used to have the official Swatch-style Watchmen wristwatch but it fell off while I was leaping around at Red Hot Chilli Peppers (before the guitarist died along with any balls the band had) at the Hammersmith Clarendon in 1987!
