Cheapest I've seen this excellent graphic novel in ages. Also at Amazon for this price but generally £10.50 to £20.00 elsewhere

"Watchmen" redefined superhero conventions and re-introduced comics to an adult audience with a gripping, labyrinthine piece of comic art. Rorschach, a half-psychotic vigilante must convince his ex team-mates, now middle-aged and retired, that he has uncovered a plot to murder the remaining superheroes - along with millions of innocent civilians...Even reunited, will the remnants of the 'Watchmen' be enough to avert a global apocalypse? With a powerful storyline masterfully told by comics supremo Alan Moore and beautifully rendered artwork by the talented Dave Gibbons - this is the one that started the graphic novel revolution and is definitely not one to miss!

Great piece of literature - as good now as it was when it first came out. A must buy for anyone who reads graphic novels.
Its a hot deal as well, but consider supporting your local indi comic shop.

Great Book. Listed in The Times Best 100 novels of All Time!
Even if you've seen the movie, you should read this. The movie went some way to recreating the feel and look of the movie, but passed over some of its darker aspects, eg the ghoulish pirate tale, and of course, Hollywood changed the ending.

Great price, though I would say if you've got a bit of extra cash then pick up the Hardback instead, it is far superior.

Only £12.48 too.

I will admit it's probably my favourite book of all time. I even have the absolute edition signed (cost me £50), but this isn't an amazing deal, I got mine in HMV instore for £9.

Aside from the fact that it is a hardback what is the difference?

Quality of the paper and the colour :)

I like both, the paperback feels.. more appropriate some how but the hardback is the superior version.

It was also recoloured if i recall correctly

I believe the hardback features the improvements from the Absolute edition. Keep in mind that these aren't George Lucas style "improvements", the book is still faithful to the original, it just looks great.

I paid £15 for the Hardback and I thought that was a bargain. The paper quality is so much better.
