does this actually work? does it leave a residue or ruin the material? how long does it last? so many men, so many questions...

From what I read recently , sprays don't tend to last as long as the type that need to be rubbed or wiped into the items. But it is a good price if you want to give it a go, far chepaer than the named brands.

All Nikwax waterproofing products are currently half price with free delivery at Go Outdoors - none of them are quite this cheap but Nikwax products are very good.

I can only see Nikwax products at 10% off, and how do you get the free delivery? Most of the Nikwax products aren't even available for home delivery.

EDIT: The 50% off Nikwax offer ENDED on the 15th April and was posted on the facebook page https://www.facebook.com/GOoutdoorsUK

I did use it on my VOTO motorcycle jacket... now I use it in dry weather only! applying it again doesn't help anymore. Cheap yes! not great

Cold for me. These spray type products are pretty nasty. Solvent based and quite likely to do lots of nasty things for your general health. You also don't get all that much in a can. I always use Nikwax on all my outdoor gear and they always have a freebie on their website (it's a tent proofer at the moment http://www.nikwax.com/en-gb/webquiz/index.php )

It's a good price, but a better solution would be Thompsons Water Seal which can be used on all sorts of fabrics (including convertible roofs), can be brushed on and works very well.

Just buy a hardtop or man up and remove the roof

But will it blend?

I would avoid using this on ANY expensive tech layer. If you want to look after them, invest just as much in care proucts as you do the jacket itself.

Nikwax all the way

'123' What mobile do you have? I'd return it seems you've been scammed.

Cheers for that, after a few tries to get 10/10 I did it. That will come in handy for camping next month.
