A good deal.
So far I have not had any probs buying fomr the returns warehouse as the products are new only the packaging has been opened. And ofcourse you get the usual Amazon returns policy if things go wrong.

UPDATE Firmware if you dont want ot use their software. After update delete their software.

These might be the two I sent back last week. Ordered for £42 but they turned up with Euro 2 pin power supply so no good for me. :)

How much for a shaver plug? Heheh.

Cracking price though.

Or chop it off and simply fit a 13 amp plug top! :)

Says £39.66 now.

Bet all the suckers who paid 33p more are kicking themselves now. :)

Also, for those saying link doesn't work, just click on the 'used' link via the 'Go to deal' link.

"Please note that, due to the nature of Warehouse Deals' items, we cannot replace your item, nor can you return items for defects which were disclosed in the description of the item in Warehouse Deals' Marketplace listing. "

however the listing is;

"In stock. Want guaranteed delivery by 1pm Tuesday, January 18? Order it in the next 3 hours and 38 minutes, and choose Express Delivery at checkout. See details.
Domestic delivery rates and return policy.
Factory sealed unit. Package factory sealed. All purchases eligible for Amazon customer service and a 30-day return policy."

which seems to think it is factory sealed, does that mean its not even been opened?

As said above some of these are fitted with 2 pin european type plugs. You can't chop them off as suggested by nilrem as the plug is also the transformer and a shaver plug will NOT fit as the pins are too close together. The solution is a 'visitor to the UK' adaptor available from many outlets including Poundland. By the way the £39.99 price applies to used/returned units.

I've got this drive however I did buy from Currys. It came with the two pin adapter part and the UK three pin plug. Looked like they were standard package parts.

More heat, I ordered one this morning, if they are not UK adapters and they won't supply one, there are a few options, around US - UK adapters, replacement UK adapters.. still makes this hot..

I will never ever buy a used hard drive. It's plain silly.

Understand where you are coming from with the comment.
This is a hard drive that has been fully checked, reformatted and refurbished after being returned
The only problem that I have with this is that you cannot return it if it is faulty (Tried and failed as did not read the small print on the website)

Have now bought a 1TB elements hard drive which is running perfectly, paid more no hassle

According to the website you can return a warehouse item within 90 days if it is defective: "if an electronics item is defective (other than as disclosed in the description of the item in Warehouse Deals' Marketplace listing), you may return it to us within 90 days for a full refund of the purchase price (including postage and packing) and your return postage."

The one thing that worries me about this deal is why Amazon has a whole batch of these "used" (I presume returned?) drives on sale - it suggests there may be something wrong with these drives. Although you would also assume Amazon to return them to WD if they were somehow faulty?

"Please note that, due to the nature of Warehouse Deals' items, we cannot replace your item, nor can you return items for defects which were disclosed in the description of the item in Warehouse Deals' Marketplace listing."

I.e. you can return it for any defect that was not advertised. And as this drive is not being advertised as having any defects you can return it if anything is wrong with it for up to 90 days.
