Can I remove the drive from this case and install into my Macbook then?

I am assuming that as it is portable, it will be 2.5"...
#5
Id rather pay a few quid more and get 1TB even it needs external power.

I'm looking for a 1 or 2TB desktop drive myself & i noticed this, I paid a tenner more for this great little drive, works perfect with my dvd player & telly. But your right if you only require mains powered drive there is much better deals out there.

Peoples - I think the reason the OP placed this on here as its USB POWERED ! yes we know that for a few quid more we could have bought a mains powered 1TB, but this post is for a 2.5" portable, USB powered drive. Any comparisons should be made like for like.
Nice find OP

Better deal for a USB 3.0 Verbatim 5302 drive was on here earlier for the same price - got to be a better deal than for a USB 2.0 drive!!

Cold from me I'm afraid!

CAUTION

Just purchased one of these for opening up and installing into my Netbook.
However the design has changed and the usb port is mounted onto the hard drive making is impossible!!

Managed to reassemble the drive and return as "unwanted" :)

Noticed also that the usb port is not the standard mini port but Micro, so you will need to ensure you carry the specific lead with you!!

So they have changed the design,Typical. That's one of the main reason i bought mine, As a spare drive for my notebook. I thought it was the same design as the one i have (had it over a year now & i hope it's the older design) Looks exactly the same. I have never taken mine apart to see either, Hmmm, where is my hammer.
