Ordered one of these a couple of days ago, free delivery and only one pound more than the 1TB counterpart. Nice design and great for backing up your main computer.

I've added heat because it does look nice, and if it is only £1 more than the MyBook 1TB then its a good price.

But there are Western Digital 1TB externals available from £47 ish http://www.amazon.co.uk/Western-Digital-Elements-Desktop-External/dp/B002E7HEVU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1290942407&sr=8-1

Just dont want people to get fooled.

This is a better quality Hard drive and has nice backup software paired with it. For the WD Elements 1.5TB its £65.99 so a £4 increase isnt bad for this one.

If you go into pc world/currys and pick up their gift guide and enter the code on the back of the gift guide you get, at least, a £5 off voucher. Also the usual don't forget quidco, TCB. This is a 3.5" drive so its mains powered not a portable drive but still for the spec its relatively cheap

Just noticed that this isn't available at pc world so even though they are all part of the dsg group the £5 off code won't work

I have my eternal drive plugged into a power saver plug. When the computer is switched off it cuts the power to external hard drive and laser printer
