Supports up to 1080i resolution for crisp HD media playback. - I'd assume you'd need to use the component AV cable for that though. Not too bad at all ;)

Dixons are online only in the UK and have been since 2006 (except at airports)
Many of the became Currys.Digital

SD support only , but upscales to HD. Added bonus with these is that they run of 5V, so can be powered via a USB source. Handy solution if you travel with a netbook, and want to watch vids on TV.

Hardly the same. I only need it to play RMVB files, so only WD Mini will do.

Probably totally off topic here...but my son wants some sort of recording device that records games from his PS3 so he can put footage on Youtube etc (young lads thing i think at the moment)

What i`d like to know is would something like this or the Sumvision Media Player be able to do this, its his birthday in a few weeks and would like to get him something that does this.
Any advice appreciated.:)

ive never tried it but this these players wont do this
if you dont want to point a camera at the screen then afaik you need a video capture device like this
