I discovered recently that WD40 makes a brilliant sticky label residue remover and is cheaper then the cans of label remover.

It's a great price, but tbh is always that price in Poundland, so certainly not a new deal.
Good for people who don't know about it already though, so heat added.

Seen this in Poundland for some time.
Didn't think it was that great a deal as it is only a small 150ml can
Seen them in the 99p shop as well.

The other half asked me to pick up some "UB40" the other week. Still makes me laugh now.

That was a subtle reminder not to forget the red, red wine ;-)

Yes, but who ever uses the whole of any sized can, 150ml is quite adequate for us, for a long long time. The only time we ever seem to need to replace it is when our house gets to be so much of a pigsty that we simply can't find it.

Definitely useful to have in the car boot as a water dispersant for the distributor cap and spark plug leads for times when water stops your cars ignition system working.

my cat is called WD40 - squirts and sprays everywhere

Since it costs me at least a fiver to get to my nearest Poundland and back - whats the point??? Its only £1.50 in my local Wilkos 2.5 miles away! Which is where I go shopping, to the bank, get a haircut etc,etc anyway.....!

The point is, not everyone lives miles away from poundland.
Well done for living closer to a wilkos. Get a back, sack and crack when you are next out, save those pennies!

The big question is who would win in a fight between WD40 and Gaffer tape?

Voted hot by the way!

Lol, Have you actually read some of the 2000 uses for the WD40 ?

"Cleans Magnifying Glass Handle"
"Cleans Doggie Doo From Tennis Shoes"
"Lubricating Rolling Cat Toys"
"Removes Peanut Butter From Dog Hair"

I wonder if they started to get bored and started making things up

I remember a survey about what you used WD40 for. So they probably compiled all the answers. Works wonders cleaning shower doors! Better than a glass cleaner I find. I bought a few of the jumbo cans from screwfix a few months ago for around £2/3 which I thought was a bargain.

Ah thought you were going to be the first person to say 'got up this morning and the car wouldn't start, it's a good job I bought this'!

How silly the original poster was for not realising this wouldn't be a good deal for you due to your distance from the nearest Poundland!!! Shame on them.... :whistling:

After some frantic early exchanges, during which the WD40 would strike a few telling blows, the Gaffer Tape would show its ultimate supremacy in the battle and come out on top!

Gaffa Tape Rules!!

(But deal voted hot too, because its a good buy, despite the fact I live more than 90 seconds walking distance from my local Poundland, have no legs, no car, and dont know what WD40 is for anyway....Wheres the toilet....???) :p

i have to disagree, surely if the wd40 let loose a little bit then gaffer tape would loose all its sticky potential, therefore being usless, so wd40 wins the battle for me

:)I am a big fan of wd40, I regularly use it for every things even the car bodywork,it works & protect, my best deal is from my local tesco direct in augst, £3.78 BOGOF for 450ml can, so work out at £1.89 each, guess how many I bought? ( six)

A wise man once said:
'you will only ever need 2 tools in life: WD40 and gaffer tape
If something doesn't move but it should, use the WD40
If something moves but it shouldn't, use the tape'
