Ditto! Pity I've just bought from Amazon.

Great book, but just to let people know that this is the 'mini' sized version of the book. It says
The pack contains a mini hardback picture book, greetings card, gift tag and sheet of wrapping paper.

Excellent - buy it now if you don't own it!
We have it in a walker treasury and in board book + toy set so don't need another but fantastic value anyway.
My kids love the mini books because they can hold them easily themselves (and yes, we all know it off by heart aswell..................................)

P&P is £2.75 on this item.

This book has a nice sort of rhythm, but when I read it to my son - it annoys me.

walking through deep water and mud, is a this good example to set a child :whistling:

Mike is such a lovely bloke too, for those of you who like his books and works he has a lot of videos on You Tube of him reading his poetry, both adults and childrens.

On another topic, he has a wonderful book called 'The Sad Book' which is comforting for anyone who's ever lost a loved one. Its based on his experiences of his child dying of meningitis at the age of 18. Its very touching and can help children deal with death in a gentle way. I'm 21 and it helped me after my grandma died.

Rubbish book - no idea why my 3 year old loves it.
No real plot, the characters are sketchy, and it's just not believable.

Was you ever a child? How many kids books are believeable? As a teacher, the rhythm teaches essential skills from an early age, the repetition helps memory skills and since when do children have to have believeable books?

'Once upon a time there were 3 children living in london. One day, one of them was stabbed to death by the others...'

Is that better for you?
