Wetherspoon pubs serve a range of Lavazza, which are Rainforest Alliance Certified, coffees, including latte, cappuccino and espresso. They are available to drink in or take away.

The same 49p deal will apply to tea, also undercutting the big chains. JD Wetherspoon chief executive John Hutson said: 'We believe this is the best value cup of coffee and tea available on the high street.

Got on this morning (59p in City) = bloke next to me ordered a Stella (at 8am)- Classy

been like this for months in Brum I pass a spoons on the way to work this sign has been outside it for at least 4 months to my knowledge, good price though I think they do breakfast baps plus tea or coffee for £1.49 too. Not tried it myself don't have time in the morning plus I'd find it odd being in a pub for breakfast I'd be too tempted to buy a pint!
#5
What size is the takeaway cup?

McDonalds has been my choice but this could take over very quickly! And can you be cheeky and still use the coffee collector cards?
#6
I went in for a coffee and the breakfast bap the other day the coffee was ok but the bacon bap had two slices of bacon one over cooked and crispy the other under cooked and raw.
#7
Problem I find is that it takes so long to get served in Wetherspoons, plus, the coffee takes so long to prepare that the staff always have a face as long as barge when you ask for anything thats not from a pump or in a bottle.
#8
They`ve been doing this price for quite awhile in Bristol. Few years maybe....
#9
wow! this will teach Starbucks a lesson, think they do this in the states already, but of course not over here!
#10
for 49p, you cant go wrong. Heat added!

It's possible that the times aren't the same at all venues, but at the Wetherspoons I visit regularly (The Forum in Lincoln, The Ritz in Lincoln, The Dragon Inn in Birmingham & The Benjamin Huntsman in Sheffield) I'm pretty sure that they stop serving breakfast special offers (i.e Bacon roll & coffee for £1.49) at 10AM, though I think you can still order from the regular breakfast menu till 11 or 12?

Incidentally, I feel I must say what a good deal I think this is, - I travel a lot for work, and have been very impressed by the quality of Wetherspoon's breakfast food and coffee since they started opening at 07:00 - previously I rarely visited this chain, but am going more and more, and am also starting to schedule early meetings in Wetherspoons to save on booking meeting facilities in hotels.

Nice find Hot

great find great when i work nights. The people drinking pints in the morning could be night workers as its our evening!
#18
These Wetherspoon places are mingin. Tables are always filthy and full of sticky residue from the night befores drinking sessions. 49p coffee is fine in a decent clean place but not in these plastic pubs.

Some Wetherspoons pubs are nice and cosy, it depends very much where the pub is. When I go to a town that I don't know, I always check the local Wetherspoons to stop for a drink and some food. If it looks clean and with respectable people in, it is an established standard and much better value than an anonymous cafe or pub which might have a much worse reputation and end up costing me an arm and a leg for something sub-standard.

I'd have to agree with you there, and it's not that they seem to be rushed off their feet. I think because they have to `log in' at their own specific til and when someone asks for a drink thats at the other end of the bar.....
#21
Can't knock that price, just wondering what the queues will be like at the bar for them.
#22
Woah what has happened to hot deals? Its all changed!

Anyway back to the deal, when working in a bar i used to hate serving coffees etc right pain in the butt, good price though never the less.

Fascinating Fact: Did you know that if you should find yourself in a Wetherspoons Establishment at 7.00am and NOT drinking a hot beverage ... chances are you're an alcoholic.
I never knew that til I found myself slumped over one of their toilets at 07.05hrs with a hangover...

(_;)

Hot from me, I tend to get a latte with the afternoon deal fish and chips with bread and butter if I'm in and they are excellent.
#25
Very cheap! Heat added!
#26
awesome, the Raynes Park spoons in London is great, nice staff, leather couches. It's my second home, I take my laptop there and work all day
#27
My local Spoons serves coffee and baps at these prices until 9am.
No alcohol is served until 10am.
The cooked breakfast is excellent value for money and is served until midday!!.:D

This coffe is superb, and why not try the breakfast, cannot be beaten at £2.79 for egg, bacon, sausage, beans, hash browns and a choice of black pudding or large mushroom!!.
PS I am NOT a Wetherspoon employee, just like value for money!!
