Had something similar bought for me and often thought about the person that gave them to us.
Yes, the dinner and desert knives are serrated and the fish knives aren't.

I know that to some people this seems a lot of money but we have had several cheap sets previously - the idea of this is that it will last a lifetime and will look good... very useful for christmas when all the rellies turn up or for a nice pressie.
