not sure why people vote cold and leave no comments...

why cold it's a sale and you can save money (thought the website was about that!)

if someone already posted then happy to take off but could not find anything...

if you pay by credit card you are protected!

Welcome to the mysterious world of HUKD ....

The phantom cold clickers are everywhere, clicking random blue arrows ...... one day you will HAVE to put a reason and be identified ... that would slow them down!! :-D
#3
Don't even get me started on blue clickers, some people just don't have a life! Good deal! Have some heat!
#4
Thanks all.. yes it looks like the blue click gang are out and about... *AGAIN*
#5
HOT  . They will sell off stock as others have before closing, pay by Mastercard to be safe

Taken from the wedgewood Home Page:

WE REGRET TO INFORM YOU THAT DUE TO THE POSITION OF THE COMPANIES, NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN ON PURCHASES MADE BEFORE, ON OR AFTER 5TH JANUARY 2009.

So not worth ordering

Credit cards offer protection - but only on purchases over £100.

So if you're spending less than this it's a risk.
#8
I would never put money into a company in receivership as you have no protection if they decide to close the business overnight. I guess the only protection is your credit card

I wouldn't buy anything online, only buy stuff in store or you're asking for trouble
#12
The trouble with Wedgewood was they wanted to produce in cheap labour countries and charge their customers European produced prices.
Sadly, for the Stoke workers, we thought we ( the customers) were being sh****d

Im voting HOT!

A pity they're going into administration! My parents still have their wedgwood dining set from like 25+ years ago, and still using them once in a while!
#15
ohhhhh i think will pop up the shop tommorow
#16
I have bought from the site before, but I REALLY wouldn't at the moment unless you are paying more than £100 in one transaction by cc. It's really risky otherwise.
#17
i would check with your credit card companies too, many will not cover you for purchases if a no refund statement has been posted............best to be safe.......... i know the one i used to work for wouldn't.

i concur.we now have little or no manufacturing base and have 90% gdp from the service sector, which is massively dangerous due to cheaper service being available elsewhere,we all know where!
(anyone seen Slumdog Millionaire btw.super film!)
i would just like to say(and no,i am not gay(though theres nothing wrong with being so!)to Mr. Toycollector that your beard is the Mutss Nutts mate(if that is you on the avatar).i try so hard to cultivate a bushy beard and just end up with a patchy mess that makes me look like a crack-head!lol oh well-Good work!

voted hot
will order when it goes down to 90% off!

Cheers OP

For the last ten years as UK companies and elsewhere are moving jobs off shore and ramp up the capability of lower waged countries I was astonished at home people are continuing to push house prices up by bidding for higher and higher prices by borrowing more and more. So the result is that many people are now with 20 years of mortgage payments for an inflated house asset when some of the jobs are now exported overseas..50% off selected lines is not a good deal for a company which has come under administration....as about 30% of the product price is in post sales service and guarantee as well as advertising and marketing. Like the previous poster earlier, these old traditional brand names should not have gone down the strategy of charging for goods at nearly the same prices as if they were produced in the UK....the same mistake was made by Marks and Spencer, virtually all the high end bedlinen like Christy.......branding as Jermyn Street whereas product is from Morrocco...
There is no way a UK person living in a £250,000 home will ever compete with a country whose house price is £25,000. o even £2500... I mean the people in these countries would not borrow from banks to fuel the land and property prices up.
