Hot as you like!

Just noticed that you can't fold it away like the one I refered to, but still good if you have that bit more space!

what are them padded thigns on the side for?

and also, the thing at the top, is that for putting a barbell on? when you have the bench flat it seems quite high? i wouldnt mind getting one of these, but ive got a barbell id want to put on top to bench press, would this be ok?

Curls... At least I think that's what they're called :?

I'd imagine so... Best to check the weight limits though before trying it.

Is it any good though - or is it just cheap Gym tat for the uninformed (like me) to buy and end up in the shed unused?

Read the recent Amazon thread, it's basically the same thing and most questions have already been answered in there.

Thank you for posting this. Bought it on a whim! Be good to tie into Wii Fit! I compared it to the Amazon one but I think that for how I will use it I might as well just get the cheaper version... with a few Tesco vouchers I had in my wallet I got this for £18.97 delivered. I'm dead pleased, so thanks again.

Thats a Great price, Voted Hot.

But do note there are two exact models both priced at £45 but it differs in title description only. The other one is Catalogue number: 203-4887. Click here to see (although out of stock).

Although the pictures are the same this one states "Value Weight Bench" while the other states "Value Weight Bench With Butterfly". The butterfly part is the one which are on the side ('the padded things'). It maybe that the one on offer does not include these.

Its always best to check before you buy.

Hope this helps.

Nice find, gave my old bench to my nephew last year(but kept the weights) then started to miss it. This replacement will do nicely. Ordered and thanks.

Postage is £4.85 on top.

I certainly wouldnt bench press on my own, could be VERY unsafe!!

Is it £45 after discount? OP has stated that this one was £45 but is now half price.

Its obviously quite a cheap light weight bench, okay for some light work outs, but i wouldn't be doing any heavy incline bench pressing - look at the thickness and strength of the back support height bar. I would only use this bench for light weights only. Good luck.

More expensive but worth it for the extra accessories, quality and that it folds away.

Bought few days ago n still not got round to using it

its fine too bench press by yourself, Alot of people at my gym do it, without spotters too !!! as long as you can manage the weight.

lol Ive had a few really bad moments bench pressing on my own, Ive got the bruised ribs to show for it too! And I was only doing 70-80kg

Avoid this one, looks like typical cheap tatty **** and it isnt even the correct image. If you were a average big guy you would probably manage to get 20kg on there before it snaps from the load. And Paddy the york is a good bench, was going to buy my brothers off of him years ago but i just dont have enough room in the house these days even for a folding one.
#23
This is an unbranded version of the one I have by the looks of it.

It does sort of fold a way, but it involves taking it apart. anyway, its a good price

Mine arrived today. I can confirm THAT IT IS indeed the fly version. Quite pleased now. However, be warned, this is flat packed and the bolts are a pain to do on your own. Don't expect to put this together in under half an hour.
