I have just picked up 15 packs of Golden Arowana Bamboo flooring from my local Cost Co.

The Store manager said the deal had come from head office so it might be National.

The Bamboo packs contain over 2.2 m2 per pack and retail usually for £39.99, t is half that price at the moment and even including the VAT, It still works out at only £10.90 psm!

Here is the manufacturer (plenty of good reviews):-

Good Luck if interested...

We have this because of the reputation for bamboo being so hardwearing. Admittedly it doesn't wear out but the top coat finish scratches and wears really easily. Now two years after laying this, it looks appalling. We're either going to have it all sanded and refinished or rip it up and put something else down

We have fitted bamboo in our dining room and it is FANTASTIC!!! Rock solid, warm and beautiful finish - I fitted it myself :-)

The stuff I installed is "strand woven". "Strands" of bamboo are unsurprisingly "woven" using glue and amazing pressure and this makes the material extremely solid and very hard to scratch. The stuff in the likes of b&q and homebase is quite soft in comparison and even some of the online suppliers sell the softer alternatives. I ordered various free samples and took a hammer against them, time and time again the strand woven proved how strong it is. 3 months in and 2 young kids later, the floor is still looking as good as new and mops down well.

Interesting to know what the make up of this stuff is as I spent £25psm.

I installed woven strand bamboo in our hall about three years ago. It still looks just as good as it did when it was laid - well it does when I get around to mopping it, not as often as I should :)

I much prefer though the look of the engineered birch veneer flooring I laid, at the same time, in our living room, but it is quite scratched and scuffed already. So if you want a tough floor then I too would recommend woven bamboo, though perhaps it would be best to try and and see it fitted somewhere first to see if you like it.

Hi mike1111927
I checked my local Costco and they did not have the bamboo flooring. They checked on the their computer and could not find it in any Costco warehouse. So i am really curious were you bought the bamboo?
We bought Golden Arowana several months ago and we need just 2 more boxes to finish off a room and we can't find it anywhere. We looked at homebase as they do a deal this weekend, but its just not the same colour. Its very frustrating. If anybody on here knows were I can buy Golden Arowana by Wellmade, i would be very grateful!!
