Are you an imposter? No HUKD member in their right mind only buys stuff if they need it.;)

Lol!

Seriously, I've been on this site about 6 years now and have a house full of stuffs I don't need. I think I probably spend more on junk on this site than I do on cider, and I drink a lot of cider! I've finally hit a point where I've realised I need less stuff rather than more, plus now I have decent tools I don't need to keep rebuying every time a new deal appears. I know this goes against the ethos of this site but I'm trying to only buy stuff I need now.

Gotta admit though its bloody hard!

Very true, I'm tempted to buy these myself but I can't decide whether to get these or a non VDE set, I'd only like one set not two!

The 006148 product code and 006147 (this one) are BOTH 1000v. I really can't see the difference between them.

Edit: Ahhhh.. the 006148 has Pozidrive heads, the 006147 just has Philips.

Back up in price saved me £14.99 !

I know the deal is closed but these are VERY good screwdrivers, paid under £20 for my set last year but would happily pay full RRP.

Are the tips magnetic at all?
#26
Pretty sure they are, best thing is they are a laser etched tip which kind of grips into perished / rusted screw heads that would otherwise just strip / round out. I've actually done this vs a standard driver to the amazement of my colleagues.

Forgot to add, the voltage thing is sh1t!

Do you have any experience with the non VDE ones?

Absolutely love Wera tools. Leanrt the hard way that buying cheap tools is a false economy and slowly replacing everything with Wera.
