Pack up your office files and take them home. Carry thousands of songs or pictures. These drives are simple to use, light and easy to carry, and require no power adapter - they are powered directly through the USB cable.Installation is a snap because you don't really "install" this drive; you just plug it in and it's ready to use. There is no CD to install; the included software loads from the drive the first time you plug it in. Powered by the USB bus, so no separate power supply needed. This ultra-portable drive fits easily in your pocket or purse, weighs only a few ounces and holds tons of valuable data.

good price -- this was £82.99 last time I checked

I bought one of the white ones

a few weeks back. Haven't put it to good use yet. But my MacBookPro does recognise it.

Voted hot, great price.
Just need for those 2.5" Fujitsu 160gb and Seagate 200gb's to hurry up now ;-)
#6
Yeah would like one of those myself :-D

Got those 2 makes the wrong way wrong, it's Seagate doing 160gb and Fujitsu doing 200gbs, which doesn't make sense to me when Seagate have perpendicular technology and a 750gb 3.5" out, anyways those desperate for more space in ur pocket could get a 2.5" (£15ish) usb 2.0 casing and stick a (£100ish) Seagate 160gb in it ;-)

I decided to not get this after reading countless negative reviews on Dabs.

Yeah I think the issue is how slow they are in writing to disk. If time isn't so important, it's a good way to increase your laptop hard drive space as it will slip easily into a laptop bag as well as use USB for power, which 3.5" drives don't [no AC adpators to carry about and no external power supply required].

Here's a link to the Dabs reviews

I am just about to order one anyway from Amazon and will let you know how I get on with it on a MacBookPro laptop and Dell PC.

There's only one (bad) review on Amazon -- I assume that everyone else is happy with the product? People are more likely to review a product if they are unhappy with it, rather than satisfied

Thanks very much for the feedback guys :)

It does have an impact on products when only the negative review is noted over the positives. So an unbiased and balanced opinion of how good or bad this is, on both the Dell and Mac, would be much appreciated ;-)
