  Are these drives fast enough to capture DV video directly onto them? I'm tempted to get one of these for use as a video editing drive.

  I tried someone's slip case on my drive and it was fine. But I've been looking at this one:

  I've just looked at mine and I'm sure the bottom comes away to expose the hard drive. Not going to fiddle too much in case I wreck the case.
